  1. Aye - chances are maxed out certain ability cards and some tonics are often enough to take a barrage of shots. Pretty sure there is no relation to level other than maxed out ability cards. It is possible to stand toe to toe with several enemies and be the only one left standing with the right cards. There is a question on ability card load outs close to this thread which goes into far more detail.
  2. Be real interesting now they are finally nerfing the varmint rifle. That alone will make such a difference 👍
  3. Maybe get one of your current members to set up a 2nd posse and then you can mosey on out as a group of up to 14? 😉
  4. I am naturally pessimistic but I truly think this is a step in the right direction. It should mean those that want to hunt will be able to do so in peace and I believe this will cut down on the griefing. It's small steps but steps nonetheless and seemingly in the right direction. My only concern is the extra XP and additional challenges for being in a Posse. I appreciate that it maybe what R☆ would like but there are plenty that just want to roam and hunt alone and shouldn't be penalised for wanting to do so. In all, I look forward to the 26th but hope that future updates focus more on individual players also.

I have found the best set up for showdowns to be Slow and Steady Winning Streak Strange Medicine Eye for an Eye It certainly upsets the varmint headshot brigade as you can take several point blank headshots before dying so gives you the time to retaliate. Admittedly I have all 4 at max level and it does feel overpowered but certainly helps with the grind. Everyone should pick to their own playstyle but until they nerf the varmint rifle, I take great satisfaction from upsetting the auto aim jockeys. Needless to say it works well in free aim too but only if you get the chance to activate dead eye before the headshots come 😉
  6. Just the once a long time ago but I'm glad they are still dropping them. They are a random find but despite clearing dozens of bandit camps I have only ever looted 1 so the odds are low but do exist. Consider yourself blessed and spend it wisely 😉
  7. I have a suspicion that if anything comes in the future with regards to actually buying property, it will be limited to GB as the current camp upgrades are. I hope not as that is one of the aspects I would really look forward to but I certainly wouldn't pay real money for it. I think the cost of the game justifies what we have but any more would require massive changes online to get the player approval.

  9. Agreed. I have dabbled since Hungry Horace and always kept my hand in between work and family. Recently upset my grandson when I got a S+ rank on the new Resident Evil remake and he can't do it! 😂😂 The best gamer is an older gamer 😉

To be fair, the only real advantages of reaching level 100+ is experience of taking on multiple foes (dozens and dozens of hours in Showdown PVP), levelling up ability cards which can make or break an issue with griefers and upgrading weaponry to max which certainly helps. The skills are something you can hone over time but it's not unusual to find the skill set and reaction times of an 8 year old griefer much better than your own! I'm no spring chicken myself mate. Turned 50 not that long ago so my reaction times ain't what they used to be but still in good enough order to disappoint anyone trying to rob me 😂

  12. Don't get me wrong, I fully agree with almost all you have said. However, griefing is obviously an issue they are aware of as they have already announced measures to be implemented. So, knowing players are leaving because of it, and not seemingly in any great shakes to fix it and not having to provide PVE servers, would it not make sense to have an option when you log in (Just one button) to be unable to shoot or be shot by other players? A bit like a permanent spawn protection if you will until you log back out? Maybe I'm seeing things a bit more simple than it would be to implement but if they put as much time into resolving this as they do into creating revenue streams, it would be fixed already?

It is a crying shame that players are leaving because of the actions of just a few and excuse my cynicism but has anyone else noticed that NOTHING has been done by R☆ to try and fix the issue in a timely manner? It would seem they were far more busy introducing a gold bar system to further swell their coffers. Just a thought but did anyone else see 'Westworld'? 😉
  14. Agreed. I played solidly until level 100 and now I am bored. Until some new updates are released and changes made (like nerfing the bloody varmint rifle) I won't be putting in anywhere near as much time.
