  1. I am. I really enjoyed the first one. Admittedly, it started SLOW. But a friend kept encouraging me to keep playing, and I finally got hooked. The story was great, and now I want to see where the story goes.
  2. For me, personally -- I'm a total weirdo. I haaaaaaaaate buying games as soon as they're released. Why? Glad you asked: Too Expensive - Game companies are banking on the hopes that their marketing will get us super-hyped about the game they're releasing so that we'll all run out and buy it at release, so they charge a ton for them. A month or two (or three) down the road, the price often drops 15 to 20%, especially right before the holidays. Which brings me to my next point: A Great Christmas Gift - I'm notoriously hard to shop for (unless it's a Darth Vader item. I collect those!). But my family knows I don't want only Vader stuff for the rest of my life. As this launches in October, that gives me about 10 weeks to look forward to it. Also, I often have the week between Christmas and New Year off, so I get that time to play my new game. I'm A Game Video Watcher - Having lots of free time at my desk at work gives me a good deal of time to watch videos. I enjoy watching gamers like Swiftor and Ohmwrecker play the new games. Watching them get better helps ME to get better. I followed this same strategy with Friday the 13th, and when I finally got the game, I played my first round and actually did very well. It was a lot of fun, and I was prepared. Anywho, that's just goofy ol' me. I'm the one unimpressive vote for "Christmas" above. No one else does it like this??
  3. We all know GTA is pretty famous for the "ladies for hire." Then again, so is the Old West. Mind you, this is not me saying, "THERE SHOULD BE HOOKERS IN THIS GAME!" I'm totally not. What I WOULD like to see, however, is the ability to nurture and invest in character relationships. It'd be great to be in town, notice a few different ladies have taken an interest in your character, and then you get to choose which (if any) you wanted to pursue. Hell, maybe even have the option to marry them. Of course, with Marston, your only real choice would be Abigail, 'cause . . . reasons. That, I think, would help quite a bit with immersion. If you are able to utilize your character to pursue relationships that interest YOU, that would make the experience all the better. At least in MY big, fat, hairy, stinky opinion, anyway . . . Thoughts . . . ?
  4. Well then, ya put ME as "average," friend. I played that multiplayer for hours every night after putting the kids to bed. Yes, it was a bit repetitive, but the shootouts, the "grab the bag" games, the Texas Hold 'Em games -- I got so good at all of 'em, I was one of the highest ranked players out there. I got to where NO one could beat me to the Quickdraw. And I came up with great tricks to win the "grab the bag" games. It was just a hell of a lot of fun to me. If they can improve on that, I'll be a happy camper, indeed.
  5. Yeah, I've noticed. It's good to get in here early, as I got in on the Friday the 13th forum about the same time it was released -- but that was backed by a Kickstarter campaign over a year before -- so the activity there at the time I got in was HUGE. I can see it's still building here, and can only anticipate it will explode at launch.
  6. This is all well and good, and I'm glad they're focusing on the single-player aspect of the game -- but the original had an AMAZING single-player campaign AND an INCREDIBLE multiplayer universe. Can we safely assume RDR2 will do the same? Or one better? Gosh, they just can't get this wrong . . .
  7. I'm just curious to see how many of us have different plans for this game. What's yours?
  8. Am I the only one who thinks Marston here looks like Norman Reedus from The Walking Dead . . . ?
  9. Howdy strangers. You can call me "Skunk." I've been quite active over on the Friday the 13th: The Game forums - which, heartbreakingly, is currently dying a slow, gurgling death. So, here I am! The only other game to perk my interest the way that one did was the original RDR. So I'm quite jazzed about this one, especially the multiplayer aspect. Any advice or suggestions for a newbie? (NOTE: If it includes a hand gesture or my mother, I'd like to politely decline in advance.) See ya in the badlands, - Skunk
