  1. For me it's about the immersion. I remember in RDR1 if you wait long enough in the Macfarlane ranch, a guy starts playing the violin by the campfire. It would be cool to be able to sit down with the other people and experience it rather than just standing around. Small touch I guess but one I would like. You can sit down in GTA 5/O but there's no real need to. In RDR2 the scenery will be worth looking at and there will be nice little touches like that violinist. I guess sitting is what you would do if you were there, which is what I mean by adding to the immersion. Admittedly just sitting down is not the most exciting thing to do but it's a nice change of pace from shooting up a town. GTAO can get a little frantic with all the fighting and missions, so its good to escape a bit. I imagine RDR2 will be the same.
  2. Weird but I'd like to just be able to sit down on a chair. Also better camping. I'd like to make camp but still explore the area - have the campfire going etc. FarCry Primal did this pretty well, but I'd still like to be able to do more around the campfire, just to add to the immersion.
  3. So the big question that always crops up around a pending Rockstar release is "will we have more explorable interiors?". You've got to ask yourself why you would want this. For instance, in GTA 5 there are a few - offices and such - that you can wander round. Once you have wandered around it that's about it - what do you do next? Shoot a PC screen. Look at a piece of paper on the desk. Leave. I can see why R* don't really put much effort into this - there just isn't that much point. HOWEVER If you ever played GTA: San Andreas you'll remember the robbery mechanism which allowed you to enter peoples' homes and steal their stuff. Not sure why this wasn't in RDR1 but it would be really good to have it in 2. What kind of bandits are you if you don't steal stuff? You could break into a house, steal some shiny goods, then sell them to your contact. Chances of them actually including it? Probably nil, but this would be a good way of justifying making more interiors. Instead of the traditional R* way of placing a house-style cube and sticking some images of windows on the outside, how good would it be to be able to go up to a house, kick in the back door and wander round it to find some treasures to sell?
  4. Blackwater was too empty and too small. When I realised BW was where he travelled from in the first place I was disappointed - I assumed he was from some big bustling city, not a couple of empty roads and half built houses. Where do all the people live? In one hotel? If there is a city, and I presume it would be BlackWater, it needs more going on. It needs atmosphere, grunge, people standing in doorways, houses, busy sidestreets, people selling stuff. BW in rdr1 was cold, boring, empty and devoid of any sort of atmosphere.
  5. They'll be using the same engine as GTA 5 so that's enough reason to be pretty certain that there will be swimming. To say that it will just be surface swimming would be nonsensical - they would have to alter the engine to suit that. Plus what happens when you jump off something, do you just land on top of the water? Na there will be swimming just like GTA 5, you bet.
  6. If we know anything about Rockstar, the game will be delayed until next year.
