For all that have no fun with RDR2 play odyssey it is one of the best looking open world games on PS4 Pro and one of the best games in gameplay. You will have a lot of fun with this game, with mayestic looking forests and nature. This looks real polished now. Of course with real less blur and crisp graphics. Ok no wild west outlaw scenario.

Is it me or they killed the level of detail and lighting now too. I played an hour in 1080p mode and the light and level of detail looks different. The game looks not overwhelming anymore.

Sorry guy, this is a standard answer of the support team since the release of the game. They do nothing. I receive the same answer for a month. The blur has nothing to do with hdr. The blur exists with hdr and without hdr.

Yes, Native resolutions with a good tv looking better. When I play the last Uncharted and I see no difference in crispness and detail about checkerboard resolutions like Horizon Zero Dawn or Spiderman, than the Upscaler of the TV is good working. At first I had a cheaper 4k tv and the difference is enormous, to the tv that I bought in the summer of this year. I think a lot of people sse no difference between a 1440p res with good Antialiasing and real 4k. A lot of people see no difference between real 4k and downsampling 4k. The major reason is a cleaner image. Look at the PC you could not play a lot of games anymore without the shadertool Reshade, because of blurring postprocessing Antialiasing. Look at Ghost Recon Wildlands on the Pro this game uses a sharpening filter and a resolution of 1440p on the Pro. This is one of the cleanest looking games I´ve ever played. The mayor reason is for me a cleaner image. You can put more details in games that use a resolution of 1440p instead of more taxing checkerboard 4k. Better is to give us higher texture quality 4k or 3k images, this produce a lot better image as a 4k rsolution with lower texture quality. The texture quality in red dead redemption is´nt that high. I think it is a combination of 2k and 1k images. They can give the pro users a higher definition texture pack. You benefit on a 4k tv from this textures a lot more as from a 4k resolution. Textures must be created in 4k and than you can downgrade the texture to 2k, for midware PCs or the smaller consoles. But all Games would benefit from real 4k textures. On the PC we have the modding scene that shows us how real 4k Textures can look, not this upscaled 2k images that the developpers sell us as 4k Texturepack. This is no 4k. THe textures must be created as a 4k image. The most of the developpers going a wrong way with agressive postprocessing effects, bad postprocessing Antialiasing like TAA and lesser Texturequality to implement 4k resolutions.

Wow I looked at the next update of odyssey and nearly all issues that was discussed by the commuty will be fixed with the next update. This is a big support job with a very good moderation.

I´m not a kiddy online gamer. I will play to relax and not work. This is a big mistake in the modern software industie, all games must have a online mode with tons of content, no game comes polished to the market. This is why I like the exlusive titles of sony, no online sh*t. When I will talk with somebody than I do it in the real world and not wth a headset. This is the ****ing twitter facebook generation. I delete all my accounts. This are all big concerns now, and it has nothing with gaming out of the the past. All of the new generation want new game plus content, weekly new content prefer lootboxes and all this other sh*t that comes out with the higher bandwidth of the internet. The magazines prefer this games and push it. The parents sells for the studying kids and the kids play this sh*t at home. I read yesterday on odyssey forum, why the hell no new game plus is out it is to late. All this trolls and flamers set the developpers under pressure and ruining all. They are not interested anymore to fixing graphical issues or anything else in singleplayer mode. Rockstar began with this politics with GTA V. No polishing of the game for the singleplayer content only for the online mode. I´m really done with that company, too bad that other publishers like cd project red do the same way in the future for cyberpunk 2077 THey want only all earn money and empty our wallets and the most of the rich kids buy all this crap. Look to Blizzards overwatch, Fortnite or all this bullsshit. This games are not designed for the older generations.

TAA is a to agressive form of antialiang. Only good for real 4k. SMAA is way better and costs lesser performance. Yes think they change nothing, this is the arrogance of the publisher. Only money makers and the whole online press is payed by rockstar. I´ve looked for other reviews in newspapers and not big gaming magazines or sites. This game becomes a average score of 75 in all this magazines.

I have no witcher 3 wild hunt patch with this resolution. Witcher 3 runs with the resolution like horizon zero dawn I think. Or is the patch new? Witcher 3 looks a lot clearer. only indoor looks better. It must have something to do with the day night cicle. I started the game on the evening and it looks clearer as on midday at lunchtime. Ok, now I´msure it is cancer for our eyes. I have not play the game since a week. I start it again and the pressure on my eyes is back. It kills my eyeballs. I´m using glasses.

For me the same, but i realize the taa is off. You can see that on the foliage. But now you relize much more the stupid motion blur filter. Depth of field looks a bit better in the distance, but the headache effect is in the game, no fix for the stoopid motion blur and infected checkerboard rendering. Wow the detaillevel in cutscenes is now really impressive, Fake HDR is not fixed. I don´t know it is a placebo but it looks mor colourful to me, but not like real hdr. I hope one day they put a motion blur turn off button in the game. It is the stupid motion blur, that kills the experience for me. Witcher 3 has real agressive motion blur too, but you can turn it off.

I read for a few hours online mode comes at the end of novemeber. I hope they do something for the blur. It will be not playable with this blur on multiplayer. I´m not playing multiplayer games anymore, but I hope for fixes in the singleplayermode. I would give the game a second chance, when they do something for the blurry image.

For me, it is no improvement. When I´m starting other games it looks like failed resolution crap without details. i´m not changing settings anymore on my tv for this game and all my other all around working games looking like crap.

Please, no posts anymore that 1080p fixes the blur issue. That is not a solution for a ps4 pro gamer with a 4k tv.

This effect sucks a lot in forests, where we have a lot of trees and foliage. This game has a overdose of special effects. It looks like some enb series mods of the past of GTA San Andreas, GTA IV and V on the PC. Or Skyrim. I feel drunk on playing this game. I need no alcohol to produce ths feeling, but with some bottles of beer, the game looks better.

I hope the patch comes with the integration of the online multiplayer. I´m playing only odyssey at the moment.

Oh sorry brainbug Lol H1Z1 is the online battle royale multiplayer game. Played Horizon Zero Dawn a lot. It is real impressive and a good game for comparison. Snow in Frozen Wilds looks nearly like the snow at the beginning in RDR2. Best HDR support Strange is that the pro version looks not like on this comparison. Horizon Zero dawn looks way better as in this fanboy video. you mean Horizon Zero Dawn. THis is one of the best looking open world titles. Sorry for my mistake. 😂
