Where is the companion app for Android?

Does anyone have any information about when the companion app will be available for Android and why it wasn't released when the iOS version was? I live in Australia and the game has been available for over 14 hours so I think that's plenty of time for it's release, considering it's supposed to be released at launch. 

I can't find any information about the delay at all online.

I'm in America and we are still awaiting the release just an hour or so to go, and I think they are waiting for the game to release everywhere before they release the app on android, not sure why iOS got the app already, but I don't see the app available for me either, because I have an android smartphone. Maybe tomorrow I hope.

Ah okay, that makes sense. I guess I was confused (and hopeful) because it had been released for iOS already. It's lunch time on Friday here and I have the day off so I've really wanted to get going and use it as I was playing. I just have to be patient ...

Yeah hopefully it's available to everyone soon, I would like to check it out.

how do you link the android application with PC RDR2? i can't find anyway to link the account, it's always unpaired and after i contact rockstar they told me that it is impossible to use the application linked with a PC.

You answered a year old post, from the console release.
Companion app is not released for PC yet. I don't know if it ever will.

They neutered the companion app a few updates ago. The most useful feature was being able to see your own blip and others on the large map that you could zoom in & out.  

I used to use it extensively prior to that and then uninstalled it immediately after they took out what was essentially the only reason I found it useful.
