I only have Story mode

Helly guys, the only 2boptuons I have when I start the game are Story & Social Club.

 

There is no open world kind of game like the original RDR, is that normal?

 

Do I have to do some updates, or maybe it has to do something with the region I live in?

 

Any info would be appreciated

Story mode is the open world ... just not in the very beginning.  You have to go through a bit of the story hand holding to get to the open world.

As MS mentions, the beginning of the game is an orientation of sorts to get you familiar with some of the mechanics and set the foundation of the story, characters, etc.  

The gameworld will open up and gradually you'll be introduced to more aspects of the game as you progress.
