Accidentally killed trapper?

Hello,

i accidentally killed the trapper once I found him. Instead of pushing l2 I pressed r2. I really needed to get my bear pelt back too after I was killed. They said store someone but gosh I hope he isn’t the only trapper because that will be quite annoying...please tell me there will be another!! Will a key character disappear forever?

also, in the same way shot my gun instead of speaking to butcher. All the law people came. There were too many. I fell off the cliff trying to fire while walking backwards....my favorite horse missing afterwards. Some random one bit it’s place. I gotta keep r2 and l2 straight!

There's a trapper in each state.  He should come back after a day or 2.

If you saved your horse, it will be in the stable you saved it in.  You can buy it back for free.

I did this twice lol as mentioned, he comes back after a few days in-game time. 

I hope you saved your horse at a stable otherwise it will be gone for good. Remember to always, ALWAYS save your new horses.

I did the same thing once and accidentally shot him in the chest. He came back after a while but always has the wound on his chest now. He just stands there with a gaping hole in his chest and acts normal. It's kinda funny.

I noticed this too! I didn't know it was the trapper and shot the crap out of him and now he is beaten up. Pretty cool of them to include such a small detail.

The trapper in my game died from a wolf attack after I stood there for too long. He’s still gone

That's nothing compared to whatever affliction has befallen the postmaster in Van Horn.
