Moosh89
As I've mentioned in other threads - once I got my final MVP that counted for The Real Deal, I was promptly deleting my level 11 character and making a nicer one. I had been grinding out hours of racing and last I remembered to check - I had like 0.54 gold nuggets. I specifically remember once I finished Clay's horse thieving mission, I only had 0.21 nuggets. I didn't pay any attention to my money when I started a new character but I did the first mission with Clay again, and when it came to the first bandit camp, I went full on Rambo and knifed 3 out of 5 bandits silently. The last 2 I headshotted. The leader emerged from the tent and I got the first map. As he ran away, I got Plus Honour for letting him live (temporarily, as I chased him down and shot him dead soon after... no honour penalty!) Once I was back in free roam, without really doing any voluntary Stranger missions, I have 0.97 gold nuggets. So either my gold carried over to my new character or I massively cleaned house in combat points this time or something
KRooKeD KRoW
That could have been from your map, if you found the treasure for it (just guessing it's a treasure map where you have to find the treasure in freeroam). I found one of those treasures and I think it gave me 100 (or close to it) gold nuggets. I think some of the online "challenges" or whatever they're called (e.g. get 10, 50, 100, etc kills with a certain weapon) might give nuggets too, but I'm not entirely certain, usually have those pop up when I'm too busy shooting and trying to stay alive, so it's likely they just give XP. Poggy
If gold transfers across characters it's a sure sign it's primed for real world cash micro transactions.ons.p
KRooKeD KRoW
So it turns out those awards online for getting so many kills, doing stuff online, and whatnot, do give gold nuggets. Not sure what the Gold Buckle it awards you is good for or where it even goes when you get it, but after finishing the last step of one of the challenges, a lot of them you can reset and get gold nuggets when you complete them again. Haven't seen how many yet, but I imagine it's not much. Kinda like a prestige system for them, I guess. For anyone that doesn't know where to view those awards, when online, go to the Pause menu>Progress>Awards. You'll also see Story Mission and Rank Unlocks on the Progress page, good for replaying specific missions and checking what you unlock at each rank up. Poggy
Buckles in wardrobe. Just cosmetic afaik.
KRooKeD KRoW
I don't think it's wardrobe, cuz it looks like it's the same gold buckle for each award. Maybe they each give some gold nuggets, which could be why I didn't see where it went, was getting nuggets for something else as at the same time. KRooKeD KRoW
Ah, ok, haven't really spent any time in my wardrobe. Put my free outfit on, changed a couple things and never went back.
