Is chewing tobacco, cigars, and cigarettes considered health items ?

It says not to take any health items and i havent but still fail that objective. Im confused.

anything that affects your health core/ring (negative or positive) is considered a health item, so is dying or restarting as they modify your health.

@Mpegforever I think @shadowwolf71251 was referring to the gold medal objectives for missions. 

I also noticed this but didn't really play around with it to figure it out. I'll try and check that out later.

Yes. I was referring to the gold medal requirement of not taking any health items. I dont use anything to replinish health, but have used chewing tobacco etc to refill deadeye, and will have all complete other than the health item

Oh ok ty kormath,  didnt realize dieing or restarting a check point would fsil the no health item requirement.

I have found in order to achieve the 70 gold medals, before I start a mission, I save the game, fill up all my meters including deadeye BEFORE initiating the mission and knowing all the objectives in advance. That way you don’t take any health items during the mission and “if” you fail to get gold you can load your save and try again. More time consuming than the built in “replay” mission feature but this way you don’t start out the mission severely disadvantaged.
