I can’t move the candle in “Blessed are the Peacemakers”

Hello - I am playing "Blessed are the Peacemakers". When I get to repairing the wound sequence, I can get the candle up, but I cannot get him to stick the candle in the wound. The instructions on the screen say "Left up" to raise the candle and "X" to insert the candle into the wound. I have tried X and every other possible sequence of keys to no avail. Frustrating because this a key sequence, and I can not get to the rest of the game. Can any body help me?

you have to tap X repeatedly, like when you're lifting Lenny up onto the train in chapter 1, you hit the A button (xbox one) over and over.  the tool tips they put on the screen are accurate, you press the left stick up to raise it and mash the X button to bring the candle to the wound.  Fairly easy to tell as when you press it once a sliver of the ring around the button they're showing will turn white.

From memory, it was just a matter of pushing the left thumb stick up (same as for walking forwards). 

If this doesn’t seem to work, you might want to power the console totally off, waiting a minute and trying it again.

This sounds about right to me. It has been a while for me but this is pretty much what I did. Let us know if it worked for you OP.
