Love to fight grieves in free roam with pib ! I've gotten 300 yard kills with it and dynamite arrows. Getting good with carcano can really up your chances against grieves too ! We have several that can knock a fly of a cows pecker from 200 yards ! It's quite fun ! We never shoot first but will outlast most !! 2
lumper Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 So I was offline for about a week, but I wanted to ad to the OP that they are making several changes in game mechanics that might help with some of the confusion and a few of the issues you had previously mentioned and maybe after next week things will work a little better. Ive been running around with slow and steady, peak condition, strange medicine and come back stronger, these cards working together make it really hard to kill me. Especially if I add big game meat with spices, and charge the rings with tonics, I can take 10 shots from a Springfield when loaded up, I have a second load out for offense but for defense, the above works really well.
EjectedCasings Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 (edited) Yeah, a fair bit of the thing is getting a setup that works for you and optimising it. I run with A Schofield and sawed off for close ranges, a Lancaster for mid ranges, and a bolt action for longer ranges. I prefer the bolt action because of those 5 rounds in reserve in case I missed a headshot or they can tank a lot of damage. It's also pretty good for hunting. Lancaster is all around solid, although I haven't tried the Evans. Lancaster gets decent damage and fire rate, and 14 rounds is good enough to take 2-3 enemies if you place your shots right (and they're not bullet sponges). I also keep my character overweight for that extra damage I can take. Edited September 6, 2019 by EjectedCasings
PVPNOOB Posted October 2, 2019 Author Posted October 2, 2019 Sorry to bump this thread and be annoying but honestly I cannot for the life of me get good at PVP. I cannot understand how players are getting headshots with what seems with no effort at all. I have tried Paint It Black as I heard it is the new meta, and all you have to do is aim to their head, activate dead eye and Paint It Black cancels all bloom? Still, it does not work for me. Players I am shooting straight in the head do not die, I check their abilities, no slow and steady or never without one, I promise you I am straight up hitting them in the head, with Paint It Black and they survive, most of these players are around my rank so not high and abusing Tonics etc. I have tried watching youtubers headshot tutorials and their live streams and they are doing exactlt the same as me, yet they pick them off in one shot every single time. Sorry again but do you have ANY suggestions what I could be doing wrong and what to try, who to watch on YouTube or anything? I am 100% hitting them straight in the head, I don't feel I can be any more accurate, but they survive. I just want to be a bit more defensive against getting my head blown off so easily by them and it doesn't even look like they try, my headshots do not work Thank You I promise any advice (I know you have gave me a ton already) is much appreciated.
