Native Americans in 1899?

I’m curious if natives will be in this game seeing as Natives were put on resorvations mostly by that time and some mixing into “white man” society but also some were still rogue.

I was reading the new previews that came out and noticed one site says ‘no native americans’. Which is a bit vague, were they're none in the demo or the whole game? I also read a reporter asking will there be “Indian fighting” which rockstar replied with “ we always wanted to stick to the period during which our games take place and so we will scrupulously follow what this period imposes us”. Do you think they’ll implement them in somewhere?

We spoke on here a while back about this. I can't see the genocide of native americans for the sake of stealing land being a nice thing to put in the game, historically accurate or not. Maybe some conflict here and there or some semblance of trading as per The Revenant, but fights etc, na I can't see it myself.

Yeah I don’t think we’ll see any battles between the settlers and natives but I’d like to see natives in the game’ like trading posts and such a like. Charles is one after all. Maybe natives can help us go across the country be scouts for our gang.

There is a native american character shown in the trailers. I think they'll be around more than they were in RDR1. I think people made it known to R* that they would've wanted them in RDR1 a little more.

It was more common to see them earlier as well. I know the games are only like what, 10-15 years apart but a lot of Natives started moving more up north that were in the old west into the early 1900's. We saw mostly Mexican gangs in the first one.

I mean there was still a lot of Natives in Texas and other areas down south at this time. They had already started assimilating though with the western culture.
