Hooded Strangers

Ok i think im going mad. Was playing RDO on Saturday night. Wanted to run some trades and collector missions. I was riding just south of Rhodes when I got hit by a shot. No NPCs showing on Map, no players near by. Kept riding and got hit again and killed. So I thought hack. So I ran back to where I got killed and standing in the middle of the road was what I can only describe as a Black Robed Klansman. I opened fire and he ran. I did no damage. Got killed again. Ran back and he was still there. SO I lassoed  and hogtied him, through him on my horse and took him to the Rhodes Jail.

At that point another played appeared and started beating me so I dropped the Stranger. Since nothing seemed to be happening I left after a gunfight with the other player and rode south. Later I was in a building and the Stranger appeared again. Left the area and he was there again like a ghost.

So I left the area entirely but up near Emerald station as I came to a crossroad there were 4 more, but this time on horseback. No player Tags, just marked as strangers.

Has anyone else seen these. Cant see any mention of them anywhere else. Not sure if they were Modders or actual NPCs that should not be in the game yet.

IIRC, the Klansman leader in Story Mode wears black robes, so there's definitely an NPC matching your description in the game files. As to your encounter, it's certainly a strange one in a game overflowing with strangeness.

I encountered this black hooded stranger, he was invincible, non targetable, he rides a horse faster than lightning and follows you until he kills you. I was not able to interact with him, if i got too close he attacked me. Dunno whats going on.

Sounds like yet another hacker.  They have also been pulling up a two-headed skeleton and doing the same thing.  Worst of all, though, is that some have figured out how to hack accounts now, it's been reported.  Rock Star really needs to get on this and lock the hacking down.

I was just reading about the accounts being hacked earlier today. I am sure they will put a stop to it. Really pisses me off when people do stuff like this. Like, don't you have something better to do with your time or are you that desperate or entertainment that you become the kind of person no one wants to game with.
