karma
Hello guys. I just write this because I feel I am the only one thinking RDR2 is not the greatest game everyone thinks here. Game is awesome in some ways, but I think It needs tons of online content to be a worthy buy for me. I have been playing 3 months oon pc and I am almost bored with the game. Another thing is... I have never known a community with a biggest desire of killing every single player they find. I mean It is part of the game and all that stuff, I have played gta 5 for almost 4 years, which has a really toxic community.... but nothing compared with this game. People is really aggressive and It is like game is boring and everyone is trying to find someone online to kill.... I don´t know It has been 1 month without playing a game I bought 2 months ago and I prefer to enter the forum to see If something changed than playing the game.... maybe the problem is mine but I was looking for people who feels like me, maybe only to think I am not that weird....

Hi Karma and welcome to the site. 48 minutes ago, karma said: I just write this because I feel I am the only one thinking RDR2 is not the greatest game everyone thinks here. You're entitled to your opinion and for the record, not "everyone" here thinks RDR2 is the "greatest" ever nor without faults. ......but you are on a fan site so yeah, I would expect you might run into folks who like the game. 48 minutes ago, karma said: Game is awesome in some ways, but I think It needs tons of online content to be a worthy buy for me. I have been playing 3 months oon pc and I am almost bored with the game. There are quite a few of us who have been playing (some off and on) since the beta on console. The content that there is now is much more than what we all started with but I do see people's desire for more. I wish it too. The thing is, content is cumulative in this game like it was and is in GTAO. Obviously, GTAO has had a lot longer to accumulate more of it. .....but RDO will become more robust as time goes by. I suspect the trend for content drops will continue for this year as well and R* has already said they have a lot more planned. 48 minutes ago, karma said: Another thing is... Either the PC community in RDO is way different than console or GTAO PC is a really mellow place to be because it's the exact opposite for me on PS4. That said, RDO has it share of griefers but they are way easier to avoid than in GTAO IME. .....although you guys have those problems with modders and hackers we really don't. 48 minutes ago, karma said: I don´t know It has been 1 month without playing a game I bought 2 months ago and I prefer to enter the forum to see If something changed than playing the game.... maybe the problem is mine but I was looking for people who feels like me, maybe only to think I am not that weird.... You haven't missed much in that time as there hasn't been any significant content added between then and now. Nothing wrong with shelving a game for awhile that you get bored with in between updates or even leaving it all together if it's not your cup of tea. Nothing weird about it. RDO simply isn't some people's cup of tea and that's fine.
karma
thanks for the reply. ^^ I really enjoy the game. It is maybe one of the most amazing enviroment i have dreamt to see on a game. Don't misundertand me.... I love the game. It is just the experience for me on game is not what I expected. Maybe on console the community is more friendly or I just had bad luck with that lot of people I found. I have been chased for bands just because I am hunting. RDR2 is far more agressive than I thought, even for someone playing gta for 4 years.... and on pc with dam hackers and modders.... You can imagine hehe. It is possible I just had bad luck, I will continue playing and trying to make my place there, Game deserves it.... but community is kicking me out of it. Thanks again for the reply Edited February 28, 2020 by karma
Kean_1
Honestly, I don't know if PC is just that bad or maybe it's something you're doing / not doing. Not knowing exactly your situation my general advice would be to take advantage of the Defensive Mode option first of all. Also, I'm not sure if it's the same on PC as it is on console, but when you join an online session the game tends to bunch people up. When I'm hunting, I join a session in an area 2-3 territories away from where I actually want to be so I travel and then hunt. This helps get me away from folks on the session and give me more time to do my own thing. Never trust a blip on the radar and maybe consider teaming up with others who also like to do the same activities. We have a Posse Recruitment forum on here as well where you can find groups to play with or simply start a thread there searching for like minded community members to team up with. ....that would be a start at least. Tom Dooley
Agree karma. RDR2 is rockstars crazy psycopath version of the wild west and by that it attracts just that kind of players & behaviour. Nice scenario though
Bucnation3139
@karma this community is far from toxic my fellow gunslinger , check other forums and you'll see just how mild this one is. Example would be bungle forums , those cats rip each other apart and the moderators allow it. This game revolves around the posse , if your not in one I highly recommend it. Solo players are easy targets for a couple grieves running around looking to destroy you. Embrace the fight , shoot back and hold your ground. Dying should not bother you as you lose nothing but a little time. Saddle up with a posse and give em hell.
