AFK Abuses

Hello everyone,

There is currently some players totally ruining the game by staying AFK on horse races (cause those events are 3x boosted i guess). The problem is when you have 8 person doing this and 3 people only that are doing the race, we sometimes wait for 15 minutes to end the race....

Here's an example:

So my question is, is it useful to report them ?? I usually report them for cheating and in the description I call it ''AFK glitch'' or '' AFK leeching''. But it is really making me upset to see them everywhere and wait 15 minutes between 2 races and I feel like there's nothing we can do, not even kick them, and when we succeed to kick them, they just come back...

Fyi.....  We have a no "naming and shaming" policy here. I have removed the images of the players you posted. 

Whether it is worth reporting these players or not is really a question you need to ask yourself. We can't answer that for you as we really don't know what actions R* takes with those reports 

Personally, I say if it bugs you that much then yes, report them. As bad as it may sound, I would also suggest you and your friends try to find a new session to get away from these people vs. booting them out if that isn't working. Worst case, you may have to find other activities you can do where people like this can't influence your gameplay experience as much.

Beyond that, I really don't have much more to tell you.  ......unless someone else has any ideas, tips, tricks to help?

Too bad you don't know how it works after reports, I'd be happy to know how to qualify this exaclty, I mean is it an inapropriate behaviour or a cheat ? Also, I'm not sure my description is really accurate to help devs understand what's going on, but I can't write them a whole book everytime I report. ^^''

There's just no way to really know. Other than their support site, I don t know of any other way to directly interact with them in two-way communication.   

Im sure most that are AFK in these activities know what they're doing whether its to cheat, troll or whatever.  Who joins a race and then just walks away other than those few that might have legitimate reasons?  I see it happen once in a while in CoD:MW matches but then they either come back at some point or are kicked by the system for inactivity.

If they're AFK for the 1st race & notice the same players are AFK in the 2nd race. Hell, just sit at the starting line & kill them for 15 mins. That's free xp & kills. 😁

It is sure that they do this on purpose cause I see players doing this for hours. I'm not talking about someone who leave for just 1 game. They're not getting kicked because they are turning around endlessly, I imagine they put an elastic on their joystick

It really makes you earn more to stay and kill them than finish first ? 

I've seen players do this but I never tried, such a boring way to play...

I haven't played pvp or races in awhile. but if I recall, you get 25 xp for the kill, 5 xp for Dead Eye, 5 xp for using Special Ammo (Express / High Velocity / Split Point or Explosive Rounds), 5 xp for Head Shots, & 5 xp for Last Chance. That is 35 xp - 40 xp for each kill. Don't think you get Head Shot xp if you are using Dead Eye. 

Now think how many kills you can get if a player is AFK for 15 mins. It's a lot

To answer your question, I think you do get more xp for killing players for 15 mins compared to wining the race.

That's why some players just ride around killing other players instead of actually racing.

One of the reason why I don't play races anymore. Because if someone kills me. I'll chase those players around killing them to the point they have to get their buddy's in the next race to gang up on me. Gets a little difficult when it's 1 vs 4 or more.

I essentially do the races for gold so it's better for me to just play and win them ^^

I didn't noticed that it was worth it at first but if you wait those 15 minutes after finishing in 1st or 2nd or 3rd, you can get 1.08 gold bar, so it's maybe boring but it is a fine consolation ^^'

A whiny new player

I don't know which platform you're on, but I think if you block another player the system should stop you instancing with them.  I have blocked and reported a few on Xbox and haven't had a repeat occurrence with the same player (although I do see a fair few repeat players).  I don't mind a bit of PVP at all, but if someone is just deliberately messing up my gaming for the hell of it and it isn't just regular PVP then I'll report them.  I'd certainly report the AFK/race thing you describe.  Then block them on Xbox.
