  3. I have been a fan of Xbox since Halo and its online services since Halo 2. PS has the better library, but for years my hands have adapted to the Xbox controller. I know more people that play PS, but haven't had the funds to pick one up as a second console. Maybe some other people can join @Truth and myself on Xbox one day (cough @Cokeyskunk @BropolloCreed79) @Benjo, I am real curious about this GT now

  4. A lot of the gameplay shows Arthur roaming the vast open world alone, I feel we'll have plenty of time away from our gang which would make it possible for us to meet characters that John only met later on in 1911. We know from Rockstar's description of Trailer 3 that the story of Red Dead Redemption II starts in 1899 when a robbery goes badly wrong in Blackwater. Newspapers in Red Dead Redemption state that Landon Ricketts was involved in an incident known as the Blackwater Massacre of 1899 which was described as a bloody fight between outlaws and lawmen that took the lives of as many as 37 people (it is also hinted that Bonnie's brother and Archer Fordham's mother were among those killed but that's far from confirmed), it is also suggested that this was one of the reasons Landon Ricketts travelled to Mexico to live a more peaceful and inconspicuous life. The actor who provided the iconic voice of Landon Ricketts unfortunately died in 2011 but I wouldn't be surprised if Landon Ricketts is talked of during the beginning of the game in a newspaper or by dialogue. This would be cool, especially if it's set when Landon Ricketts was first gaining fame in the mid 1870's. In Red Dead Redemption Seth states that he once had a wife, a family and a business but he lost it all when his lust for treasure took control of him so it would be cool to see him as a young business owner with aspirations and no vices to speak of.

  5. ED just does not translate to a decent game. I can be happy with where the Starz series left off, and am thankful that we got what we did with it. Would I have liked more? Sure, but at some point it stops being "good" and becomes rote. I'm glad it didn't hang on for too long--something like Dexter comes to mind: great first few seasons, then utter crap.

  7. Glad to hear you got through your depression @Freddie Mercury "Quitting smoking is easy. I have done it a thousand times" to paraphrase. I have tried to quit smoking three times via vaping. It was never the same to me. I had quit smoking cigs(again) earlier this year. Unfortunately as soon as summer started I needed breaks during my long days so I picked it back up. Been an on and off again smoker for years. Really think its about time I quit, but probably won't until I get a new job.

  8. Actually, there's a heist in gtav that is almost identical to the opening robbery scene in the movie Heat. I think that R* pays a tribute to these movies and is truly inspired by them.

  9. I mean if we get a rodeo, may as well have cow branding! That would be hilarious. Or maybe that is just my sick sense of humor bleeding through. I like the rodeo thing though. Hope they add something like this in it.

  10. True story: my father is a HUGE fan of westerns. His streaming queue is full of them on all the services he uses. One night, my wife and I went out to dinner and he and my mom watched my kids. After the kids went to bed, he started watching BT. I got home halfway through the movie, and, knowing what was coming, advised my mother to stop watching. She ignored me, and you can imagine how that ended... Edit: I find the lack of Blazing Saddles on this thread disturbing.
