So I had grand visions of setting up a cinematic journey through New Austin while wearing Spanish themed clothing, riding the majestic donkey. It was beautiful, but I wished I had at least two other posse members on donkeys too LOL. I passed a pair of NPC riders and one actually bust out laughing, which made it even better. I also ran into a posse of players who I'm sure laughed as well since they stopped and turned around and waved lol2 points

If you had asked a couple of weeks ago, there would have been an easy answer. NWO used to be super-powerful, but its been badly nerfed. it now only protects you from some, not all, headshots (they actually have to hit you in the hat, now). Slow and steady is situational, and I think, from reading on here, that it also isn't as good as it used to be. I have them both maxed out, and I think I would probably go NWO, even with the nerf, although I don't use either of those cards anymore - I've switched out to Fight Another Day, Hunker Down and Slippery Bastard, instead.2 points

I think it would be really cool to own one of these cabinets... Just wondering if anybody has tried one or owns one? They retail for $300 u.s. at Walmart, but I'm not sure how good they are.1 point

Solid stuff man... I would definitely buy the asteroids cabinet but probably would go Pac-Man first LOL I don't know there's lots of cool games it would be hard to decide. They had the Galaga cabinet at the Walmart near where I live. You're correct, it is just about three-quarters of the size of a regular arcade cabinet. They sell the riser and stool as an optional package, although I would make my own riser. I should also add that the cabinet wasn't playable, they just had a demo playing on the screen. So I as well would want to check out the durability of the joysticks and buttons before I made that kind of a purchase. Graphics look identical though so that was good.1 point

Thought this was pretty cool (and still is) but I don't think I'd buy one unless I had the chance to see it in the flesh first to see how the controls actually feel, etc. Seems they're also 3/4 scale. I'd love an Asteroids cabinet (with Lunar Lander) but I'd rather have it with an old vector monitor than an LCD personally.1 point

No worries. Yeah, the only confirmed news is in that article. We still have no idea when the next update hits either. .....except sometime this Summer.1 point

Cart races were a favourite in RDR1O and I'm excited for them to return... But I'd LOVE full on Chuckwagon races! Three teams of 4 players/posse members. You have a driver and a passenger who can switch reigns/shoot and 2 outriders on horseback. My familiarity of chuckwagon races stems from a family history of "modern day" chuckwagon racing but I've heard the stories of how it originated. You'd have your chuckwagon of 4 horses and a driver/passenger, and the outriders would throw the camp supplies in the back (cook stoves and tents) and the whole posse would race to the next campsite. This could be perfect for RDO as a combat enabled point to point race (with checkpoints). The first 30 seconds, combat is disabled so you can load the wagon, mount up and do a figure 8 pattern. The outriders should have to stay within a certain distance of the wagon once it crosses the finish line otherwise there's penalties in the form of added time to your finish time. You have a driver and passenger who can switch reigns at any time and shoot (if one driver gets shot, the reigns can auto-switch and an outrider can "jump on" while the original driver respawns on horseback a short distance away) Outriders can also shoot either as offense or defense. The wagon can receive damage which slows it but can hit pickups to repair. It cannot be destroyed. I'm sure mechanics can be added to incorporate purchased wagons where you can focus on health or speed. A more sturdy wagon is slower but a faster wagon is weaker. One can even decide which horses get hooked to it, where doing your barreling (figure 8 pattern) needs better handling on the "lead team" and the "pole team" needs more stamina/endurance to get you over the finish line.1 point

There always seems to be enough grumbling about this or that in the game. Last night, I enjoyed a nearly perfect evening so, I thought I would share. I spawned into Saint Denis without much thought about what the night would hold, except I knew I had a brand new treasure map that I had just won upon turning 80. My only real goal for the evening was to take it easy and go collect on the treasure. So, I spawn in, head over to the Mail Station to pick up my catalog purchases and stock up on ammo, etc. when suddenly... "YOU HAVE BEEN TARGETED FOR ASSASSINATION" I've seen this movie before, so I jump on my horse immediately and head straight out of town, in the opposite direction from the bright red dot and at full speed. I get caught in the marshes and the assassin is eventually able to catch up to me with about 2 minutes left on the timer. He fires at me while riding at full speed and misses. Then I hit a fallen log on the side of the road and go head first into the dirt. He's got me, dead to rights. As I am slowly picking myself back up, he's right on top of me. And then foolishly, he decides to lasso me instead of just shoot me dead. I break the lasso immediately, ignore the horse, and make like I am going to take off running by jumping into the trees and bushes beside the road. His second mistake, he takes the bait and rides full ahead into the trees and brush behind me. Only, I'm not really running. I've drawn both sawed off shotguns and he rides right into them. Bang, Bang, Dead. I see him respawn and head back in my direction, but by then, I am long gone and he's out of time. Victory. So, back to my treasure hunt... it's half way across the country, now. Off I go. Only, there's a poker game going on in Flatneck Station which is on my rout. So, I might as well stop in and play a few hands. First couple, I lose a little or fold out. Then I get a great Hand, Aces over Kings, same suit. I win the big pot and and have almost 40 dollars on the table. Settle up. Take my leave with a smile and head out back for treasure. Victory. I finally get to the area where the treasure is supposed to be and there's a random encounter there. A young lady's horse has died, stranding her in the desert. Of course, I offer to help. It's an ambush! I have to fight my way clear of a a couple of dozen attackers in 2-3 waves. But they're no match for me and I enjoy looting each and every one. Victory. I finally get to the treasure and discover $150 bucks plus a few trinkets. Victory! As I am riding out, the young lady from before is back. Same dead horse. Same sob story. Only this time, she isn't playing me and really needs a ride. So, I take her to meet her brother at the Fort, drop her off and collect the reward. Victory. I thought about playing a bit more, but it was a work night and everything had been so much fun and had worked out in my favor at every turn, so I just took it as a "perfect evening" that didn't need me hanging around to get spoiled. And I logged out, very happy with my evening adventure. I thoroughly enjoyed the night. I hope my little tale didn't bore anyone too much and if you read this far, thank you. I hope you guys all have great nights like these as well, just not when you're coming after me. Cheers!1 point

I use borderline derogatory language frequently... As one of my basic training instructor put it all those years ago... ‘the army taught me how to do three things very well. Drink, smoke and swear.’1 point

There may be a possibility of you doin' some hare raisin'. We're rootin' tootin' high falutin' deadly shootin' laughin'-hootin' lootin' breeze-shootin' cowpokes and poke-ettes from several non-Putin continents. So take a look at posse recruiting. And send the big bunny a p.m. if interested. We might like to see if there is some gumption behind that fancy talk 😉😁0 points
