don't think this one has to do with honor. I playing as an outlaw, killing and breaking laws and getting my red hat. Next play through i'll play the good guy, see if that changes anything. I'm guessing it's time of day like the others said.

I was hunting ducks and found the legendary fish marker at the lake. But I can't equip the fishing rod anywhere along the shore. I even took one of the canoe out but couldn't fish from it either. Glitch or am I missing something really simple?

Game glitch I say. Last night I made camp up north of the lake near strawberry, hunting cougar. I set up the tent had the war horse from the Dlc hitched to a tree, paused the game and shut off the Xbox. Today after work I start playing. I'm in the camp, where I left off last night. War horse is hitched to the tree. I sleep till night to hunt cougar and some smartass swapped my war horse for the standard horse I bought in the saddle mission while I was sleeping. Saddle and tack I purchased are also gone, no owned marks in the store.

I actually like the assisted movement, makes it more realistic i think. Have you ever actually ridden a horse? You point them in a direction, they'll follow that trail or road, but pick their own path down it. Maybe there was a snake or something between those trees? There's a spot near Lucky's Cabin that my horse would not go to at all, where the floorboard or fallen fence or whatever it is, is lying by the small tree. Horse threw me when i tried to go there. Went there on foot and i could hear snake sounds, but i couldn't see any snakes anywhere around, even with deadeye on. Glitched out snake maybe? I really like the "upgrades" to the horses from what was in RDR. Like that you can calm them down now, when a predator comes near, or a gun fight happens. Agreed with other's the tree limb flinging you off the horse at high speed when you're walking by or trotting by, or trotting into a boulder and ending up airborne for 50 ft is a bit extreme.

Same map i found. I spent 2 nights up in that little area under the W, and another place online said to hunt the forest north of the lake, so i spent 4 game nights there without seeing anything but a couple wolves, lots of coyotes and boar. I'll go try the spots below and west of that one, since i'm still in that area, then go try the ones @Benjo mentioned after work tonight. I'm stoked on the depth they put into hunting on this game. I've always been a big fan of hunting games, liked hunting in RDR, and they made it better here. I don't think i've played a mission in 3 or 4 real days 😁

I think you're right, he mentions that in one of the missions with Lenny if memory serves. and he was in his teens when Dutch saved him. So he'd be 30 something.

Working through the hunting mastery challenges and I'm on the cougar hunt. Problem is where I know one too me if my horse and killed me, there's none to be found. Googled locations and the maps but so far no luck. Using both predator baits, using cover scent. Working the black forest area above Lake Owanjila now, 4 nights in a row so far with nothing but boar attracted to the bait. Any tips on this one?

The key to this one is track them. After you spot then, then study them, then you get the option to track them. It's one of the easier ones really.
