  1. That would work. I really like the camp only option to turn it off or on. Problem is, as always, R* wants us to be constantly murdered so it slows down the rate we earn money and buy gold.
  2. May have found another: I ran over a friend while going into my camp, he died., When I went to use the lock box in my camp I got a message that said "you've recently caused harm to a player or their horse, please return later when shops are open for you. Made me wait like ten minutes.
  3. There's a big problem with your list....... it makes sense, so R* most likely won't implement them...lol
  4. I think the heat is more because it's kinda pay to win in some peoples eyes. I personally don't think that, to me the gold is more pay because you have a full time job and still want to complete against people who can play all day...lol. The servers will be their own thing, so it won't interfere with the public. I've hosted Minecraft and ARK servers for a long time now and have nothing but good things to say about it.
  5. YEa, I aggree that passive mode isn't the answer. Plus it stops us from being able to use out weapons while we are passive, so we can't hunt. I like private lobbies because it gives us somewhere to go when we've had our full of toolbags on the public servers. I'd love it if they'd link up with Nitrado and sell private servers. Then we could set the server to our likeness and let people join. I'd gladly pay monthly for that feature.
  6. That's what this game should be. R* shouldn't be relying on us to be the enemies, they need to make use of their A.I. Speaking of hunting ,in an hours time between fishing, small game, pelts and meat I make about 150.00. What are you getting from your pelting in an hour?
  7. Yup, I do this to people who troll me. We followed one troll from 7 sessions.
  8. No, but I'd wager my pelts against a lake lure or some level 2 tonics... Dollar for dollar type stuff. Sounds like we need to petition R* to remove xp and pelt transfer...lol
  9. If they do that, they really need to make sure the PVE is actually PVE, no loopholes for trolls to use. ARK has PVE and PVP servers and for the longest time it was easier to troll people on the PVE servers. That's why I'm leaning more towards penalties for trolling...lol

  12. Maybe challenge someone to a duel. Put their items against yours. I'd be down for that.
  13. I think that's the biggest problem, there really isn't a penalty for killing other players. If someone kills me and I have 15 *** pelts, I lose my pelts and probably about 30-45 minutes of time hunting down the animals. So I go and kill them back and they lose.....nothing. So the end result is I lost 45 minutes of my time and they lost 15 seconds. Not really fair is it? Revenge is never equal in this game because the people that do nothing but kill have nothing to lose. R* needs to add something for them to lose and it should be time based. Basically if you get revenge on a person that killed you for no reason, that person would get hit with a time out of say like 2 minutes per pelt that you lost. That may sound like a long time, but considering how long it takes to track down a ton of *** animals, it's not. All that being said, it makes zero sense that the pelts disappear when you die. They should be sitting on your horse when you respawn. I'm sure R* will say it's because the horse fast traveled to your new location, but considering that the pelts in your bag are still there ,that is a B.S. excuse. The only reason I can think of that the pelts disappear is so we don't make money and buy gold bars.
  14. Yea, you def play this game differently than I do...lol. All of our conversations are pointless anyways, R* already has the private lobbies set up. Just killing time until we each have our own sides of the playground...lol
  15. In the last 2 days your self description has gone from a troll stealing pelts to a bodyguard for hire and back again. It seems the only challenge you have with this game is figuring out what version of troll you want to be.
  16. I'm all about fighting and defending when there is a point to do so. Missions, robberies, stuff like that I expect to have to defend and will have fun doing so. I would be boring if there wasn't any resistance when doing those activities. What I don't expect is to have to defend myself as I'm putting a worm on hook, riding to a destination or just minding my own business. Imagine trying to play the story mode while having people shoot at you every 10 seconds. It would get real old, real fast.

  18. Handling griefers is adding features to prevent them from doing just that. What you're suggesting is playing into their childish, boring, mindless game of tag.
  19. Add trappers and have them offer taxidermy services to decorate your camp/properties with your hunting trophies. I want a stuffed grizzly bear right next to Cripps.
  20. Yea, the more spots the better and let us choose which one each time. Maybe even add a distance from current location so if we are trying to avoid a toolbag, we can.
  21. If R* gave you free reign to make one change/addition to RDO right now, what would it be? I'd like to see the honor system used a lot more with some changes. They put it in the game, but really don't make use of it. Most griefers seem to say the NPC isn't enough of a challange for them, so let's see how this works for them. Here's a few tweaks that would help slow down the griefing and maybe even eliminate the need for private lobbies: -Attacks on players need to hold a larger point loss (self defense should carry a 0 point loss): -kill npc 1 point, kill player 10 points -old man jones cannot erase bad honor points earned from killing players Severe penalties for low honor levels such as: - longer times between respawns. - random location changes for respawns - shop buy rates are lower and they will randomly refuse you service - mini map icon is always on and twice the size - wanted indicators go down at half the rate and law can locate you more quickly.
  22. Yea, like others said, this is caused by the close respawn points. This could be avoided if they gave us an option to spawn in our camps after death. They need to sort out where Cripps sets up camp first. As it is now you could be in Tumbleweed, die and spawn in San Andreas where Cripps set up camp.
