So I made the mistake of playing GTAVO last night. What the hell happened to that thing? Blown up thrice by 3 different Doloreans just driving on the highway, ran over and blown up by a tank stepping out of my apartment, tried to get a haircut- someone shot up the place. Twice, that I noticed, the game prompted players to kill each other the most in a given time. The entire map is an inescapable war zone. If RDR2 continues this MO, I'm out- won't be Online. I know it's been said, but If R* wants to build an Online experience for Red Dead that appeals to the widest range of players, it has to have different Lobbies. Friendly, Combative, Role playing, and Fantasy sh*t like pegasus' and zombies. ...says me.

Yes. But they wouldn't drop it on a Sunday. I believe R* typically releases trailers on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Another Gamestop preview is going down in Germany right now. Attendees are already giving more positive feedback and even claiming another trailer is coming soon.

Yeah. I always assumed it was.

I'm just throwing it out into the universe. Hope it sticks.

I'm not a collectible kind of guy. If the physical copy of the game comes with a poster, I may put that in the garage. But that's it. The shot glass is cool. Frankly, unless I've missed it, I'm surprised at the lack of reaction to the 3D Train Puzzle on this forum. Didn't that confirm New Austin?! Hello!?

Struggling to think of a name for a gang for RDR2, any suggestions?

Based on the map: Stillwater Gang Cochinay Killers -
If the leak I posted back in June is accurate, it looks like tracking a bounty will be a lot more in depth. Which sounds awesome. Check out the thread New Online Leak?

I know this isn’t the point of this thread, but as far as gaming preference goes, is it just me or does anyone else have a problem getting into fantasy games? I’m only ever interested in games that are somewhat based in reality. Ghost Recon, GTA series, Red Dead, Far Cry series etc. Humans doing human sh*t. I’ve never been interested in goblins and casting spells, witches and such nonsense. Am I alone on this? All this being said, The Last Of Us is one of my favorite games. but at least that’s a premise I can grasp. It could potentially happen. Dragons and magic potions or fighting aliens in 2090 on a distant planet, I just can’t get into. Just me?

So does this mean Nuevo Paraiso is back too?? That would be kick ass.

Today Rockstar announced some new RDR2 collectables. Here's one of them. “The train, as featured in the game, runs passengers and freight on the entire network of railways throughout Ambarino, New Hanover, West Elizabeth, Lemoyne and New Austin.”
-
...and then you're going to play The Last Of Us.
-
The only game I've played more than once is The Last Of Us. Which I think ive done 3 times. I always meant to replay GTAV as there are different ways to do heists in the story but i never did. I think I'll end up dragging RDR2 out. Taking my time. Like @Benjo said, doing all the side missions and little challenges. Then that'll be it. Move on to Online.

Gone are the days of poking smot (legal here in NV @Cokeyskunk). But if they were still here, you might find me frolicking somewhere in game. Picking sage and wildflowers, after that Survivalist Rank. Though, Scarlett Meadows does sound lovely... Maybe it's time to get into that Altoids tin, still in the garage.

...The Special Edition.

What 3 things are you most looking forward to doing?

I hope so. Is it me, or are most games lately just...shite? -

1. Playing the story- R* are excellent story tellers. I can’t wait to see what adventure they’ve developed over the last 8 years. 2. Bonding with my horse- I played RDR with three horses. The first one didn’t die until more than halfway through the game when a cougar got her. Of course she spawned right back. But even back then, I fought to keep my horse alive. She never caught a bullet or was rode to death. I am totally stoked to now be bonding with another, when the stakes are high. Permanent death. You bet your ass I’ll be loaded up on meds and carrots. 3. The world- My god. I think we’re all in for a f*cking treat with this one. Look at those trailers. Did you see the snowy mountains? The rolling hills? The fields? The developing towns? The desert? The redwood forests? Dynamic weather! Wildlife! On The 26th, if you listen closely, you can hear the minds of a million dork’s exploding. Let’s do this sh*t. -
Something I just noticed, at the 2:38 mark, Abigale(?) approaches Arthur about him saving some “silly bastard’s” life. It’s something that goes by in a blink. But I think it’s awesome that Arthur is, seemingly, just strolling through camp and whatever choice he’s (you) made earlier, has prompted her to walk up to him and initiate that conversation. Where does it lead? Maybe nowhere. But it’s another step towards that realism Rockstar is going for. That she seems to exist in this world and is not just another stationary npc waiting for you to approach her.
