  1. Yeah, but only for a year rather than two years like other companies. It's the same provider I had before I moved, but instead of actually moving my service they felt it would be better just to cancel it and start a new account because reasons. 🙄 They've been a real sh*t show ever since I moved, no-showing multiple install appointments and giving me the runaround on the phone to the point where I had to drive 40 miles to their nearest physical office and file a BBB complaint to get the ball rolling. Like I said, though, they have an unlimited data allowance I can tack on if need be and there's another provider in the area which I can fall back on and offers unlimited data, but can't afford their installation fee right now. And their price wouldn't be much different than if I just added the unlimited data allowance to my current service anyway, so it doesn't seem worthwhile to change.
  2. An extremely rough estimate of my usual activities came out at 142.72 gigs. I talked with a rep from my provider who said 250 should be more than enough for what I use it for, but I'm taking that with a grain of sand as he, you know, works for the company and has a vested interest in telling me what he thinks I want to hear. They do have an unlimited data allowance I can add on and am looking into.
  3. I didn't care much for Dreamland, but I really liked Danger Island and 1999. I didn't know about it being renewed another season, though. I'd read that Reed was "open" to it, but that was it.
  4. It was earlier this year. I'm working on a new save that is going to replace my current "main" save (I managed to study, track, and skin every animal on Guarma, which I didn't do in the other one), so I figure if I ever have a chance of reaching 100%, it's on that save. Here's the thread.
  5. The loss of backwards compatibility was certainly a hit, but to be fair, it also drove the PS4's price sky high. Supposedly, at least. What I like most is the controllers (or at least the official Sony ones), which are just the right size and shape as opposed to Xbox's too bulky controllers and GameCube's far too square controllers.
  6. I demand my name be changed to Coyote and the OP's to Salami Sister Sally!
  7. I was recently forced to move unexpectedly and my current location doesn't have access to the Wifi-based TV service that I previously had which allowed me the unlimited data cap, so my current Internet service is capped at 250 gigs a month. I've been searching online for an idea based on what I normally do for a bit now, but haven't found a clear answer. Basically, my online life is: * Forums like this. *Usual Internet stuff like emailing, web surfing, and such. *Watching YouTube, maybe around 10 videos a day on average. Sometimes I'll go days without watching anything. Nothing excessive. *Netflix and Hulu, on average four to five hours a day but sometimes going days without watching anything, much like YouTube. *Typical video game stuff (aside from online gameplay) like downloading patches, updates, and DLC (and I don't buy any excessive amounts of DLC either, but sometimes those annoying 20 gig "hotfixes" do pop up). Consoles are always hooked up to WiFi, though. So, based on this, can anyone give me a ballpark estimate as to whether a 250 gig cap will pose issues for me?
  8. Archer actually had a crossover episode with Bob’s Burgers, but only Linda was voiced in it since I guess the actors for Louise, Gene (who is awesome, BTW), and Tina were’t available. I’d always hoped they’d do another, but with how Archer has a different theme every season now, I don’t think it’s likely.
  9. I'm probably not in a financial position to get either one right now. Gramps cut off my oil money allowance because I spent too much trying to nail Ariana Grande. No, that last part's a joke, though I wish it weren't. Ariana would be defenseless to my charms. 😋 But finances are tight for me because I had to move unexpectedly and I'm not sure I can even afford TV service right now, much less a new game console.
  10. The second meeting with Calloway and his author friend unlocks at some point in the Saint Denis chapter, IIRC. I'd check my guide for details, but like I said in another thread, it's packed away right now and I can't find it.
  11. There's one mission where Abigail asks you to take Jack and do something with him. It occurs pretty early at the Horseshoe Overlook camp. It's not a random bit of conversation with her. Just keep doing missions and it will come up. I'd check my guide for when it becomes available, but it's packed away right now.
  12. SWAT just began it’s third season a few weeks ago and it’s good. SEAL Team is also really good. They air back to back on either Tuesday or Wednesday nights (I have no TV service right now to confirm which). On the animated side, Bob’s Burgers is a winner in my book.
  13. Holy crap, you’re right. 😳 I don’t know if it was just a gameplay mechanic or not, but John “inherited” all of Arthur’s belongings in the epilogue. Maybe it is Arthur’s jacket that John had packed away and Jack decided to use after finding it?
  14. For some reason, cougars and panthers don’t actually show any star ratings for me when I focus on them, it just simply names the animal.
  15. There actually is a trick that enables you to pass all of Arthur’s wealth to John. Just leave the incest couple encounter until just before the final mission, then go to the farm and let it play out as normal. Afterward, don’t return to the farm and instead go do the final mission. Once you unlock free roam as John (or is it already “unlocked”? I always focus on work at the farm until John leaves for Blackwater), just go to the pig farm, kill the incest couple, and collect Arthur’s money from the hiding place. I believe this trick has been tested by at least one person here and is confirmed to work.
  16. Two perfect cougar pelts are all that’s needed for me to get the last camp crafting item and I’d like to craft all camp items at least once. Are there any known tricks or exploits that can increase the chances of cougars with perfect pelts spawning?
  17. No, not that I know of. I always thought Halloween was only an issue in heavily Christian areas, TBH. They have been trying to get Columbus Day changed to Indigenous Peoples’ Day for some time now, but outside of extremely liberal areas like SF, no one seems to care and Columbus Day continues sailing onward.🤣
  18. I moved. Because my landlord decided to be a royal asshole and evict me just for fun apparently. I have the misfortune of presently living in an area where Americans aren't looked upon too highly right now: California. Now I'm having to jump through hoops just to get Internet and phone service installed at my new place (right now I'm getting intermittent Internet through my Galaxy and the occasional open wifi networks that pop up). Despite never before having any problems with my provider, they've now suddenly decided to be incompetent idiots by missing two scheduled appointments, putting me on hold for hours during phone calls, then afterward usually transfer me to the wrong departments which results in me being placed on hold for hours again. So now you know where I've been.
  19. Oh, they planned on DLC all right, just only for Read Dead Online. You know, because they looooove single player so much.🙄
  20. I'm not saying RDR2's and GTA V's story modes aren't good (though I do think GTA V's was a little too short compared to GTA IV's, but that's beyond the scope of this topic), but when I read a statement that they love single player more than multi player only for them to focus all post-release content on multi player, I can't help but be skeptical. I wouldn't go so far as to call it a lie like some of the more extreme gamers out there would do, but it does come off as a bit disingenuous to me. Not unlike Ubisoft "listening to the fans" in regards to Breakpoint. New weapons and cars from GTA Online originally were made available in GTA V at least until the Heists Update and it certainly didn't stop the former becoming an unbridled financial success, so I have serious doubts that the LeMat and Evans being usable by Arthur and John in story mode would hurt RD Online in even the slightest. And you're right, they did say they had no plans of expanding the game world. Seems I was reading between the lines on that.
  21. I just can't buy this talk about how much they supposedly love single play when they aren't doing much of anything for the single player portions of their most recent games, though. Even if it was minor stuff like new weapons, outfits and horses we could buy at shops, it would have a ringing of truth to it. But it's all a matter of money. Even if they won't admit it, it's why they stopped making new cars and weapons from GTA Online available in GTA V. Why bother playing GTA Online for that fancy new supercar when I can buy it with the billions I've gained from the stock market as Mike, Frank, or Trevor in GTA V? They stopped making new content available in GTA V because it was cutting into their sales of shark cards in GTA Online and they're not doing it in RDR2 because they know it will cut into their sales of whatever RD Online's equivalent is. I'm also taking any claims of expanding RD Online's world with a grain of sand. They said the same thing about GTA Online back when it was first released, but here we are today and GTA Online still encompasses the same Los Santos and Blaine County that it did at the beginning. It isn't free when I have to pay Sony or Microsoft a fee to access it.
  22. Pardon me, but bull ****ing sh*t. If there was any truth to that, they would be doing something for single player even if it was minor stuff like new weapons, outfits, or horses.
  23. It's fall? Seems my little corner of the earth didn't get the memo because it's still 100+ here.
  24. Joking aside, you can make $25 relatively quickly in the game. So, unless you expect Rockstar to decrease payouts in the game exponentially (something that undoubtedly won't go over well), expect the prices of new guns to be significantly higher than they would be IRL 1899.
  25. GTA San Andreas for free just for downloading the launcher, you say? *heads to link* I do legitimately hope they release RDR2 for PC players though. I've said before that I believe that, outside of some certain exceptions, console/platform exclusives are an outdated concept that needs to be done away with. With the high production costs of games these days, getting your product out to as many different players only benefits both developers and players. Edit: Aaaaand this version of San Andreas doesn't offer mod support. Way to go, Rockstar. 🙄
