  1. You know, I might end up getting Ghost Recon Breakpoint after all. One thing I enjoy most about open world games is the exploration aspect and, I gotta say, for all the faults we've seen so far (and there are a lot of them), I've been having a lot of fun just exploring Auroa. The mission where you have to discover the fate of an Airman named Cal was actually quite engaging with its Cold War intrigue. Honestly, if I completely ignore the fact that it's supposed to be a Ghost Recon game, I find that ... I actually enjoy it. 😲 Just felt like saying that here since Kean is in the closed beta, too, has expressed much of the same dissatisfaction about it as me, and I'm banned from the Ubisoft forums for two weeks. But, hey, someone tells me to STFU, I tell them to suck on a donkey's member. That's just how I am. 😆
  2. Let us know if there's actually anything to this.
  3. Yeah, sorry, but any time someone tells of some ultimate hidden secret but doesn't want to actually reveal anything, it's rarely anything more than a wild goose chase.
  4. GTA6 isn't likely coming any time soon. I wouldn't bother earmarking money for it right now.
  5. RDR3 won't be set in modern day (that's GTA's department) and it most definitely won't come in a measly four years.
  6. Somebody needs to take you both out behind the woodshed. lol
  7. Crap, that's right. I have to get a PS5. Damn this console generation for going by so quick. 😠
  8. I think the majority of us are all adults. I'm 35 and Keane is in his 40s, IIRC. As long as you still intend to engage with the community here, I'm not bothered. If your sole reason for joining is to promote your YouTube channel ... well, I don't quite look too highly on people like that.
  9. This may get ugly.
  10. Do you doubt the power of the kings of Nigeria? Do you?!
  11. All hail the once and future king of Zamunda!
  12. That's the location of the legendary bullhead catfish.
  13. Yeah, probably just a mistake.
  14. I was passing through Bayou Nwa eariler when I happened upon one of those ivy walls or whatever you would call them (basically, they look like walls if they were completely overgrown with vegetation) when all of a sudden this brilliant red light started shining out from behind one of those ivy walls connecting two trees. It couldn't have been the sun because it was after 2 AM game time and the light was definitely coming from the ground behind said wall. I don't think it was a lighting glitch because just as the light appeared, ominous music started playing. When I went to investigate the light, it promptly disappeared and the ominous music stopped. Along the main road on the small peninsula touching the "Y" in "Lemoyne" on the map is where this happened. Unfortunately, I didn't have the wherewithal to get a screengrab of it. Has anyone seen anything that resembles what I'm describing? I skimmed through my guide and of all the creepy things in the swamp listed in it, there was nothing like it. I've also done a search online and found nothing. I'm beating myself up right now for not getting a screengrab because I feel like I might have actually been the first person to discover something in the game. On a side note, I really need to stay out of Bayou Nwa at night... 😨
  15. So, yeah, you've seen me when I get defensive. lol
  16. Aw, you haven't discovered my secret identity yet? I'm disappointed. 😝 https://forums.ubi.com/member.php/1056543
  17. Yeah, this is a great place. Fan-maintained sites may not get the amount of traffic that official ones do, but they make up for it by avoiding the brunt of a given game's negative fanbase whom will breeze on by to the official outlets and crap on everyone that doesn't agree with them with seemingly full impunity because the publisher/developer doesn't want to look like they're censoring negative opinions. So, as a result, I don't have to be in defensive mode all the time while here. And assuming he's figured out who I am by now, Keane has seen me when I get defensive over on the Ubisoft forums. If topics like these can go more than 10 posts without turning into flame wars, you know you have a winning community.
  18. It would take a pretty significant amount of work to fill out Nuevo Paraiso. The area is completely empty except for El Presidio. If they can't even be bothered to include new weapons to Story Mode, I can't see them adding a whole new region. Rockstar made claims about expanding GTA Online's map, but it's six years later now and they've done no such thing to date.
  19. I don't play RDO, but I prefer the Schofield. The New Army & Navy's faster rate of fire is nice, but the damage trade-off is too much for my tastes. I aim for the torso rather than the head during gunfights (bigger target), so damage is a big consideration for me. In the epilogue and post-game, though, I prefer John's Cattleman. I agree with The_Liquor about semi-autos. I'm glad they included them since they were coming into fashion and for those that want to use them, but playing a western with one just doesn't feel right. I wish we could have gotten Jeremiah Compton's flintlock as a usable pistol, though.
  20. This is all it comes down to, simple as that.
  21. Welcome. Now give me all your money.
  22. I'm 99% sure they'll never release any Story Mode DLCs for RDR2, especially after how they announced Story DLC for GTA V only to go silent on it for years afterward before finally giving a BS excuse ("GTA V was very, very complete!") and gushing about how they "loved" single player in the same paragraph. AFAIK, they've still never even said why they stopped making DLC vehicles and weapons usable in Story Mode like they used to. Probably because it was cutting into shark card sales because why bother playing GTA Online to test out the new supercar when you can do so in Story Mode and max out its mods immediately instead of having to level up 10,000 levels in order to unlock them, all without the fear of some asshate blowing you up with a rocket launcher just because you drove by him too fast or something? Sorry, I digress.
  23. I don't think you're actually supposed to physically catch him, just chase him to his destination.
  24. It's clear at this point that Ubisoft is moving toward a catalogue of nothing but loot-based MMORPGs. The Division, Assassin's Creed, Watch_Dogs, and now Ghost Recon are all basically the same type of game now. The next AC will almost certainly have a hub like TD and GRB does. Expect Splinter Cell and Far Cry to be the next sacrificial lambs. Hell, Far Cry might already have been sacrificed since I haven't played New Dawn to know if its gameplay is any different from Far Cry 5. I'm beginning to believe the framework for AI team was already built into GRB from the beginning and they just claimed it was gone to gauge the reaction. I'm still having a hard time wrapping my mind around what's-his-name talking about making GRB a "true lone wolf experience" when it was already made quite clear in the reveal that co-op and MP was the focus. Either they are absolute morons or they think we are, because common sense would dictate that if they actually did want to make a true lone wolf experience out of it, co-op would be a separate mode or discarded altogether. I certainly don't remember a bunch of Sam Fishers with gamertags above their heads walking around the Paladin's cargo bay when I was trying to stop terrorist attacks from crippling the United States in Blacklist.
  25. I was in the OTT, too. All I'll say is it was underwhelming, the complete opposite of Wildlands when I played its open beta. Breakpoint is far too Division-like and definitely isn't going to be for me. As I said on Ubi's forums, it's fine with me if they don't want my money this time around.
