Hell, I think Creed still suffers from disconnects since the start.
It's the only online game I have ever had issues with.
On the bright side, things seem to be getting better, especially post -patch. I'm not being systemically booted out of an online session every five minutes--I can even get extended, multiple-hour sessions now. The disconnects still occur, but they're less frequent. I seem to have more success with less populated free roam sessions, so targeted loading
I was also able to play in some free aim showdown series games without issue, ( @HuDawg is right, Free Aim is the way to play PvP) which was a welcome change. I don't PvP often, but that was more fun than I anticipated.

Tap RT while running at someone shoves/body checks them.
Tap B for a instant kill set up. I know with a bow, it stabs them in the neck.
Variables in speed when moving or crouching changes to different animations for kills.
Also you can block a shove or grab with B button.
Or, you know, you can just blow both yourself and your opponent up with a stick of dynamite.
I know that's my preferred method of conflict resolution.

Unfortunately, Rockstar's been bitten by the online multiplayer bug
It's hilarious they've convinced folks to spend real world money to look in a virtual catalog and pay for clothing/items that don't exist.
Not judging--I'm guilty of having spent money too (I just HAD to have those overalls and knit cap to complete my "Opium Fiend" look).

FINALLY. I hope this really fixes that camp bug and the bounter hunter issue. I played the Wolf Man Bounty earlier, and it was surprisingly easy, at least on my Good Guy Kladruber horse. Can't imagine this one going too well on an Arabian. lol
I'm bummed about having to bring him in alive. Really enjoying just firebombing my bounties.

IF your bounties keep escaping, use the reinforced lasso and also knock them out. You can kick them in the head to knock them out without killing them. Females take one kick and males take 3-4. You will know you did it right because you will get 5xp for " Knockout
My penchant for chucking dynamite at clusters of targets sort of precludes my ability to use a lasso.
On the bright side, a corpse never runs away.

the bounty hunter is a great bug.... today 4 Mission and 3 x 0 Points - 7 Missions and 1 x Points ...??? is bullshi*
if that continues, i'm only level 20 at Christmas ...
The ironic part is, the XP is still being awarded to the character for those missions because my Outlaw Pass is still leveling up quickly while doing these bounty hunter missions. It's just the profession tracker that's bugged.
I wonder if it's an issue where the XP is being applied to the Outlaw Pass and not the profession progression.

Each time BH mission starts by black screen and teleportation u would not get any rewards except gold. It known bug.
A bug that is terrible, imo.
Just started Bounty Hunting this past weekend, and had the same problem. Got to Rank 1.5, and then didn't receive any XP for the next six or seven missions I did.
RDO online has enough problems without throwing gas on the fire like this. Bugs like this are inexcusable and need to be addressed with smaller hotfixes as opposed to larger patches. -

It's got to be leading up to something IMO.
Late October undead nightmare/supernatural phenomenon tie in to Halloween would be my guess.
Horror and Westerns have always been an interesting mix (*Bone Tomahawk* comes to mind).

Literally spent about $300 buying them when they were available.

I see that in my sleep. Took a day off of work today, and disconnected, no BS, about 8 times in an hour. Never got more than halfway between Valentine and the Heartland Oilfields before "darkness my old friend" showed up.
I actually quit playing for about three months to get the taste out of my mouth, and the issue persists. Did a clean install, too, but no dice.
Good luck man, I know it sucks.

Considering that I haven't been able to stay online for more than five minutes before the ol' 2001006 Angel of Death pops up, I'm about halfway between New Austin and Saint Denis to, you know, activate one of the roles, I'd say Blutarsky's GPA is higher than my percentage completion of the new additions.
But I was able to stay online long enough to get suckered into that club for 35 Gold.

getting blasted by auto aim and PIB in seconds is better?
People used SB to avoid stupid ass auto aim. It doesn't block REAL aim or PIB.
And like I said, the only thing SB is now good for, is exactly the thing you're complaining about.
Im not sure how its boring as hell not to be blasted by stupid ass auto aim.. Auto aim is ****ing retarded in pvp.
I love your "anti-auto aim" posts, @HuDawg
Don't ever change, bro. I respect and admire the dedication to the cause.
Auto Aim in pvp is the equivalent of letting the kids in little league hit the ball off the tee after they swing and miss at three strikes.

I also don't buy music and prefer a service. ....which is Google Play Music at this point. We use it in the cars, at home and everywhere in between. I used to use it in the office back before I retired. To me, it's not unlike Netflix.
I can see the allure of that. The only issue is, if you have a restricted data plan with your mobile provider, it may not be tenable to pay for the service and then be data capped, preventing you from accessing the service on the road.
I suppose satellite radio would work too, but you don't have the same flexibility in terms of "on demand" playlists.
I do use the Google Play Music App to catalog an entire SD card worth of music to stream (rips from CDs). The kids like their Iron Maiden on the way to school in the mornings.

I'm going to keep playing this weekend to see if that changes. Another factor will be if my friend ends up getting it. Hes old like me and wouldn't have a lot of online friends to play that game with but loves coop. If he really wants it, I'll get it too so he has someone to team up with. If not, I might still get it as a bargain bin item.
Let me know how it goes. I have it preordered, but I'm not married to the idea of buying it when I'm still dabbling in RDR2 and TD2. I'd have to give one of them up, and I'm not particularly keen on doing either at the moment.

I have no intention of supporting a service that doesn’t actually allow you to own the games that you purchase. 95% of my game library is made up of physical discs.
Not a fan of digital titles either.
Sometimes, you don't have a choice, like when Broforce was released on PSN, or they made Friday the 13th: the Game the free game of the month on PS+.Otherwise, I want the disc. At least with a disc, if the game sucks, I can get a refund within 30 days, or trade it in for something (even if the value of the trade itself is terrible, something is better than nothing).

You're not alone, if it's any consolation.
I pay waaaaaay more than I should for monthly internet access, and have tried everything from swapping out both the modem AND the router. Hard lining into the router. Wifi. Port Forwarding. Open Protocols.
None of it works. As a result, I haven't played more than a couple hours in the past few months. The game is literally unplayable for me online--never more than five minutes at a time without being booted, unless the stars align perfectly. Then I can get SEVEN minutes.
You know what does work? Physically taking my PS4 to another location and using a different ISP/connection. BUt that's not a permanent solution. Literally have no issues with any other game (in fact, on most others, I'm often among, if not THE first person in the group to "load in" when coming out of a menu, strictly because of my internet connection)

I never looked at RDO as a "dying game" but of course, I do believe this new content will attract players new and old. .....or breathe "new life" into the game as you put it. ......so will future content drops just like they do for GTAVO.
There's still core mechanics that need to be refined to enhance the experience. It's a beautiful game that suffers from, if anything, too much freedom for players.

I'm happy to report that my issues have improved greatly in the last few patches. Cox is my ISP, and this is literally the only game in my library I've had issues with.
Whatever they've been doing on the backend is working, because I'm actually able to play for HOURS at a time now, with only one or two inconvenient disconnects, usually one right at the beginning, and one about an hour or 90 minutes in.
It's not perfect, but it's a big improvement from where it was when I jumped ship back in March for The Division 2.
