I thought Keiran would run during the game and we'd have a mission to chase him down and kill him, or bring him back, whichever option you chose.  Hosea would definitely side with Dutch, he defended him the whole way to his end.

Sean is a tough call, he seemed to be more of a loaner, so i think he'd probably have run.

Lenny for sure would side with Arthur, they were close, or seemed to be.

Sean (wisely) always looked out for #1.

Had his head not been kersploded (get over spoilers, the game has been out for 9 months), I have a feeling the freedom from Dutch's scheming would have been enticing enough on it's own.

Two things need to happen in order for me to really start enjoying PVP, we need to be able to select what game we want to play and when choosing teams, the game needs to stop breaking up posses in auto balancing. I want to play with my posse members, not against them.

Private Lobbies.  It solves so many issues it's not even funny.

There could be leagues build around private matches, opening up an entirely new avenue for the fandom, but R* insists on having the service be hosted.

Fyi....  Tier 2 Support reached out to me today to see if my "CE" issues have been resolved since the latest update.  I let him know all seems to be well now with those of us here who have been affected by this.  I also provided him a link to the thread.

Thanks again to @Moosh89 for creating the thread and to all who participated.  After a couple good, long sessions under my belt with no blue-screen crashes and confirmation from R* that they had addressed the issue, I'm confident that I can put this behind me for now.

If anyone is still having this specific problem please let the group know.  Thanks again folks.  :)

Lucky bastard.  I still have the disconnect issue with the error message from R*.  It had been fixed for awhile, but it reared it's ugly head again with this last update.

Built these in December after finding  old butcher block countertop at my in-laws just laying in a pile of scrap.

First time welding, but had a great teacher, and did all the work myself.

I'm more of a fancy dresser. I was going for the buttoned up lawman look for my main outfit which consists of black tuxedo pants & shoes, a  white French dress, black paisley vest, black roller jacket and a black cutter hat. For fun though, I do have a "Crocodile Dundee" outfit which I use for hunting gators in the swamp.😂

I do the exact same thing with Arthur, minus the jacket.  The Tuxedo Pants, White shirt, black tie, black vest, and Nevada Gambler Hat.

When I want to look like a hot mess, I play my RDO character, who (last time I checked) looked like an opium-addled iron-worker from Saint Denis.

As for the forum, I don't see myself really going anywhere

I'm back!  It's a long, non-Division related story, and very, very boring, but things have started to work themselves out and I anticipate being back to my obnoxious self in the near future.

For me, I'm neck deep in another game right now and haven't touched RDO for the last 3 weeks or so.  I'm just waiting until the the big one drops.  I'm in it for the long haul.

49 hours down, and I JUST hit L30 last night, with 5-8 missions to go (unless I'm missing something).

And that's just to start progression through Endgame and World Tiers.

    Then there's the

    Spoiler

    Hunters

and the Tidal Basin Raid drops on Friday.

it doesn't have the personality of the story,

Blasphemy!  The story is engrossing and part of a rich tapestry when woven together with both it's predecessor and ancillary media.  I love that they leave breadcrumbs and trails for folks to follow the smaller parts of the narrative if they so choose.  It's a nice counter-point to Dutch's oft-repeated calls for faith and pipe dreams of "having a plan".

I would really rather be playing tactical shooters than looter shooters

I'm just now getting into the endgame, and cover/tactics are absolutely necessary for survival--really, they're the game's core mechanic.  I solo most of the content (though that may change if it gets too much harder), and the days of walking someone down with a shotgun or standing out of cover with a sniper rifle are a thing of the past--even in the jump from TD1 to TD2.  The enemy AI balance between skill deployment, tactics, flanking, and reliance on teamwork are amazing.

I've only slept for six hours in the past two days combined.  Much like RDO (when I can manage to stay on for more than ten minutes at a time), it quickly devolves into "just one more mission/bounty/checkpoint/stronghold...." like an oblivious alcoholic telling themselves, "I can quit any time I want to..."

I know @BropolloCreed79 was playing the Division 2.

It's literally everything I wanted it to be.  I've eschewed food, sleep, AND alcohol to play it.  I get maybe an hour or so a day on it, give or take, so I haven't even hit Level 30 yet.  At some point I'll get back into Red Dead, but it's incredibly deflating to try and sign into the servers and getting disconnected before the game even finishes loading.

I'd be more likely to play RDRO if I had more time to do it, but I'm spread pretty thin right now, and TD2 is functionally and technically further along than RDO, so that's where I spend my time right now.  At some point, I'll need a break or a palette cleanser, and RDO will be there for me, but for now, TD2 satisfies that "itch" when I pick up a controller, and it's going to be some time until that changes for me, personally.

Yes, I was looking at Division 2.  It does seem a bit pricy for a 20 hour campaign though.  I might wait for that to enter a discount period.

According to Ubisoft Club, I'm 38 hours into the campaign, and I'd estimate that I'm only about 75% of the way through it.  The level cap is 30, and I'm on 25, with three sections of the map undiscovered, not including Dark Zones.  I'm one of those rabid completionists, though, so I'm doing ALL the side missions and peripheral activities instead of blowing through the main story missions.  I'd be willing to bet that you could, if so inclined, finish the campaign in 15-20 hours, but I'll easily blow through 40 hours before I hit the endgame.

There's so much to do, and it's damn fun doing it, too.  Everything I loved about the first one has been improved upon and it's a blast.

It's also a looter-shooter, so the idea of the campaign is more of a preamble to the loot hunt when you get to endgame, honestly.  To be fair, the campaign story isn't as deep or involved as it was in the first one, and they didn't do as good a job this time as they did on TD1 fleshing everything out--it's very discombobulated--but I have a feeling they'll tie it together with the free DLC packs in year 1.

I know some folks have already blasted through the end-game content after the first week and quite frankly, I don't know how they do it without actually being able to enjoy the game.

Word.  And the frustrating part is, those are ususally the folks crabbing about not having anything to do, which is probably why WT5 comes out Monday.

I thought at first it meant "Player vs Everyone".

I've been making that assumption for almost 15 years, and just recently learned the actual meaning.  So don't feel bad.

Wow. Division 2 seems like it’s half modding/configuration and half shooting stuff. That makes Red Dead look positively simple.

Can I just play Division 2 with a Litchfield repeater with express rounds please?

You can, in a way.  There are plenty of semi-auto rifles in the game, as well as specialized ammunition caches that can be picked up throughout the open world.  There's nothing more satisfying than picking up 30 incendiary rounds and watching enemies burn.

  10. I suppose it just goes to show you how unaware some folks are of the actual game mechanics, and how they're intended to function.

Besides, everyone knows that you wait for people to come out of the mission cutscene and put a round in the back of their dome before they can defend themselves.

I’ll reserve my condemnation of the idea until after I’ve had a chance to try it out.

What?!  Bro, do you even internet?  Disproportionate outrage over ideas and concept is cyberspace's bread and butter!

1 step forward..  20 stumbles back.

Game doesn't have a griefing problem.  It has a lack of lobby option problems..

Those changes they added actually make it easier for hostile players to 'grief'.    Which is basically R* trade mark at this point.

Lemat and new co op mission are good.  Lack of free aim lobbies means it will turn boring quickly.

Is it just me, or do they seem to be actively trying to make it worse, as opposed to better?  At this point, I'd almost rather have the launch version of Beta back, with some minor tweaks to the blips on the mini map, and that's it.

Very little of the locked clothing has been unlocked, I thought either the Benbow or Porter jacket would at least be made available. They posted a Newswire article talking about future updates and what they'll include which has got me a bit worried.

"The Offensive Playing Style is much like the current Free Roam play as we know it while the Defensive Playing Style is a more evolved version of the Passive Mode concept, designed for Red Dead Online’s more grounded experience - giving players more flexibility in how they interact with the world and at the same time de-emphasizing hostile contact with other players.

Choosing the Defensive option introduces balances that compliment a less confrontational approach: Defensive players cannot be lassoed by rival players - although if a Defensive player lassos another player, they’ll be removed from Defensive play and incur a significant Hostility level increase. Defensive players will trade the ability to lock on to other players for the benefit that other players will not be able to lock on to Defensive players.

While Defensive players can target and be targeted in free aim, they cannot deliver or receive critical hits – if a Defensive player is attacked with a headshot, they’ll survive and be able to defend themselves via the Hostility system or escape all while remaining Defensive. There are several other adjustments that come with the Defensive Playing Style, all of which are built to work seamlessly with systems like Hostility and Bounties to keep all players rooted in the world."

I'm calling it now, tryhards and griefers will find a way to abuse this new "Defensive Playing Style" option and this new option will just end up an overpowered game breaking tool.

Rockstar are so stubborn and are committed to making the one Freeroam for all system work. They add Parley, God Mode in stores, Bounties for killing others and soon a Defensive Playing Style option when all we really need is Friendly Freeroam.

When they described this new option as a more evolved version of Passive Mode for Red Dead Online's more grounded experience I had little chuckle. "grounded experience"? You've got players running around with bulletproof hats, explosive bullets, explosive arrows and you've almost always got a player who Parleys with you just to stand in front of you and stop you defending yourself, this game is becoming a joke and Rockstar continue to ignore the community feedback because they believe they know better.

I want this game to evolve and get better but stuff like this worries me, I hope that I'm wrong about this new Defensive Playing Style option and it turns out to be perfectly balanced and can't be abused but I'm not holding my breath.

They also stated in their Newswire post that they're adding a Hostility System to allow players to kill others in self defence without incurring a bounty which is great news but it should've been common sense to include something like  this when you added the bounty system, I highly doubt Rockstar will be reimbursing me for the near $600 I lost all because I defended myself from other players.

The most exciting thing I read in the Newswire post was the announcement that the LeMat Revolver will be making a return, it wasn't super surprising since they've already added the Evans Repeater and you can find a poster for the LeMat Revolver in the Blackwater Police Station but I'm pleased to see it's confirmed now.

This made me throw up in my mouth a little bit.

I'm currently playing The Division 2 like @BropolloCreed79 but it's all about co-op for me.  Just taking a little break from RDR2 for now but I will be revisiting the game every now and again especially after updates.

It's been everything I've wanted it to be, and so much more.

Do not regret paying for the extras at all.  I'm only about 15 hours in or so, so I've only begun to scratch the surface, but it feels good, man.
