If you click on this topic above, I have added a map you can download with camp locations & other stuff I've found. I'm working on a new update v4 of this map with more camp locations and other goodies for daily's. This might help you locate those camp fires, you're looking for.

Sorry but you cannot setup a camp fire like in single player. Online will random place a camp with in your region you select. You can look for camp fires around the map. Not other players camps, but camp fires placed in certain location on the map. They work just like your camp fire. Just walk up and it will allow you to craft or cook. There are camp fires around Saint Denis, Braithwaite in the back by the free apple house, house by Mattock Pond has one. Just to name a few so you know what you are looking for. If you want to craft item and not cook them, you can just press & hold Y on Xbox and it will tell say you are about to rest. You will take a knee and you can craft certain items like arrow & explosive rounds without a fire.

On Xbox, I was able to join the 4th time I tried a showdown series for the Daily. My experience when something becomes a daily, it glitches out. Posses versus (Race, Bird or Herb Contest) will be grayed out. when Showdowns become daily's I get suck in a black loadscreen. Just a day ago I had to rescue someone in need, couldn't get any to spawn. When they are not daily's it seems less problematic.

Only thing I've notice is you can access the watch in the menu where the binoculars are. All that does is give you an animations of you pulling out the watch and actually seeing the watch and time. Not sure if it's a glitch, but when I sold all my watches to the fence and didn't have one. I could no longer see the digital time when pressing down on the D-pad. From that point on I always kept one watch.

Just a thought, what R* can do to counter attack griefers.

As I mention just a thought, I think players would learn real fast not to be baited by griefers and shoot first at griefers. If players knew there was some kind of assistance for them if they got killed and press charges. But I agree the system needs to be changed. Problem is most players think def mode is like passive mode on GTAO or expecting that when first start playing. As this is a perfect system for griefers that are excellent free aim marksmen. Griefers with blue dots and in defensive mode don't care if their dot becomes extremely red after killing some other player in def mode. plus the b.s that they can just ride away before you spawn in and disappear from you minimap. That's why I use the companion app, which does help with griefers that kill me and ride away while I'm spawning in. I can still see the map on the app and see which direction the griefer is going. So when I spawn in I can head in that direction and find him and shoot him in the back with explosive rounds. -
Just a thought I had to counter attack griefers. Allow max honor players to become Marshals. So when a player presses charges against a griefer, any player Marshals in the server can help assist the player that presses charages. Example: Player presses charges against a griefer. Any player Marshals in the server can accept or decline to help the player. If the player Marshals accepts to assist the player that presses charges. The griefer's red dot will show up on the map. Doesn't matter if the player Marshals is in Tumbleweed and the griefer is in Saint Denis. With that said, R* must implement a passive mode between the Player that pressed charges & the player Marshals. Or I see griefers becoming Marshals just to shoot both the griefer & the player that pressed charges. So if there are 20 players in a server & 5-10 players are Marshals. All 5-10 players Marshals have the option to accept the players charges and assist in helping killing the griefer. As griefer hate getting killed. Even more if other players start to team up on the griefer. As of right now it is pointless to press charges against someone. cool R*, all that happens is the griefer's dot turns a darker red. lol Just a thought I had, allow good honest players help police the servers. R* can charge a price to become Marshal x number of gold bars or in-game currency and give us a nice little Marshal badge on our chest.

I've never experience this before, but I've been in servers where there's no animals spawning. To solve your problem just try switching servers until they show up. That's what I do to get the animals to spawn again.

You don't need the binoculars to see the quality of the animal. Just aim at the animal and it will tell you. But if you want the binoculars. I believe they are in the catalog somewhere, so you can purchase it. To access the catalog for Xbox press and hold left on the D-Pad for several seconds.

I think R* changed it. if someone aims at you before, they normally turn red. But I've noticed that they don't turn red anymore too. Only turn red when the player shoots at you. Not sure if R* changed something or if it's a glitch. I think they changed it because I would have players ride up to me while shooting bots and I would auto aim on them and turn red. Now I don't see that happening, but I'm also in defensive mode all the time now. So I don't accidentally auto lock on players while clearing out a gang hideout with some random that rides up.

I agree with you, it's a futile system. I watch the video. The Yter is always in Offensive mode. Out of the whole video the Yter kills two defensive mode players. 6th guy he aim at on top of the roof is in def mode. but the YTer is in off mode because right before he shoot the player, he is locking onto the horse. The guy that gets killed, well that's his own fault for dying. Standing still right in the middle of the street, right after getting shot twice. While the YTer is behind cover. 7th guy he kills is in def mode, but once the two horse hit each other the player turns from defensive mode to offensive mode. His dot turns red right after the accident. If you are in defensive mode & hit a player in offensive mode. the def player will automatically turn offensive mode. As this has happen to me. A player will turn into you causing an accident turning you from defensive mode player into an offensive player. 13th player is in defensive mode but it takes the YTer 3 shots with a shotgun to kill the players in def mode at close range. compare to one or two shots to kill players in offensive mode. Plus the def mode player is standing afk in the street. I don't feel sorry for player standing still that get shot. R* never said that Defensive mode will protect you from being kill. It says it give you free aim and little more protection. If you are in Defensive mode and don't shoot back you will stay in free aim and so will the attacking players. Giving you a chance to take cover or run away. Unless you let the guy ride up right next to you and shoot you in the face. Once again that is your own fault for having trust in Red Dead Online players. If you are getting shot at. Keep moving in a serpentine movement or any direction beside running straight away or straight at him. Giving the player an easy shot to shoot you in the back or the face. Yes, in that case you will die easy in Defensive mode. I'm always in def mode and I have players shoot at me. but I start serpentine or running left or right of the player and never die. because most players suck at free aim. like the YTer guy, since he has to get close to players to kill them in the back. If you guys don't use the Red Dead Online Companion App get it!!! It's free. I use it all the time in free roam, especially when I'm hunting & fish. The app allows you to see the whole map and if you click on the marker icon on the right side, the app with track your movements. Allows you to see anyone in your area. Also good to see who is in town before enter it, if you've been hunting. You can tap on the app, on a players dot to see the name. From there I go to my quick menu and look up the guys ranks to see how much of a threat he might be. As I mention never trust any player riding up to you or by you. 90% of the time the players riding up to you, are there to shoot you. The other 10% of the time it might be me giving you a free cougar As I in some cases give my cougar to low ranking player that I see hunting or at the butcher shop.

I only watched the 1st 3 kills. The YTer is not in Defensive mode & the player he is killing is not in Defensive mode. They are in Offensive mode. Here's how you can tell. If you look at his minimap, you will see the 1st 3 players he kills. They are Not in Defensive mode, as their dot is not faded. There is one player around Lady Lucy that is in Defensive mode. But the first 3 players he kills are in Offensive mode. I know the YTer is in Offensive mode too, because he cannot lock onto players while in Defensive mode & in the video you see the YTer locking on to non faded blue players before killing them. Which mean they are all in Offensive mode. With that said Defensive mode isn't like passive mode on GTAO, Defensive mode in RDO is so players cannot auto-lock on to you. R* says you will take less damage too, but that doesn't matter if a player uses a shotgun or explosive rounds or if you're a low level that didn't max out your health let. Meaning you should always have your guard up. Anyone know the YTer gamertag? If he's on Xbox, I can just search his name and from this profile I can join game / his server. Spawning right behind him and kill him until he quits the game. I'm sure he won't find explosive rounds funny or dynamite arrows. Especially when he starts crying when someone kills him. Hehehehehehehehe

I agree, I was using Slow & Steady all the time, but it seems like it's broken or R* nerf it. So I use this now. For Free Roam: I don't shoot unless shot at. So I run this. For PvP Modes: I switch out Never Without One with To Fight Another Day. Since I just run around tackling players & executing them. Find that more fun then trying to get top score. For PvE, I use this: The combination of Quite an Inspiration (Health while Deadeye is active) , plus Strange Medicine & Eye for an Eye. Most of the time, I'm at full health and full Deadeye while killing bots in Deadeye. Since Eye for an Eye now works while Deadeye is active. Constant full deadeye mainly works if you're getting head shots.

For those that need gold to customize your weapons. Do Not forget to do your Daily Challenges. I've been doing the Daily's since day one. I've passed 21 days for my x2.5 gold reward bonus. I get 0.50 / half bar for each Daily objective. I get 5 gold bars a day for completing all 7 Daily Challenges. -
My Posse versus is all ways grey out. To solve the problem I have to keep switching servers / reform posse / create a camp and see if it works. If it still doesn't. I had to switch servers and try again. I had to switch servers 3 times before it started working. Also, it still might glitch after the 1 race.(Like it did for me) I switch servers again and it started working again. I only seem to get my posse versus (race, bird, herb contest )working in The Heartlands, right under the Heartland Oil Fields.

Hey all, Updated my map again with more stuff. Since this is my 3rd post of my map. This will be called Red Dead Online Map v3. I've never release my maps to the public before. so I'm trying to make it look nice and easy to read for others. Dragon's RED DEAD ONLINE MAP V3 UPDATES: 05/28/19 - Found / Added Gang hideout West of Armadillo - Removed the Shack South of S in Meadows / North of Catfish Jackson's House (Shack is now a Stranger Mission & unable to get the items) - Added all the fish locations. I found fish locations map online, that I've used. Tested the fishing spot the past few day and so far most are still good. Haven't tested all the spots. - Added Roads (Thanks, Tom Dooley for posting the Interactive map. I didn't know about this) I've copy & paste the roads to my map. Since my map & the interactive map use the exact same map image. - Added few more animal locations for daily challenges. The missions switch from dishonor to honor and honor to dishonor. So you cannot just complete all the dishonorable missions. You have to do both to unlock further missions. If you just finished the Samson's Tar / Train mission. I think the next one is a Honor mission. You will have to raise your honor level to positive. You don't need to be max honor just be positive with honor and the next mission should show up in 5mins of reaching positive honor.

Mission that you have done. Will no longer show up on the map. Go in to the menu and click Progress / Story Mission / Here you will see a list of all the mission you have done. You will able to play the ones that are in your honor level. Meaning if you are dishonorable then you get Samson mission and if you are honorable you will get Marshal Davies. LeClark mission can be done in both, having dishonor or honor. If you are NOT at 100% story mission then you have to switch your honor level. Meaning if you are Honorable then you have to be Dishonorable to see the rest of the mission on your map. Vise versa if you are Dishonorable, then you have to get to Positive Honor to see the new Honor mission. If you are trying to complete 100% of the story just stay in the middle so you can quickly switch between honor and dishonor. What I do is, if I'm dishonor I hunt 10-15 animals and skin them to get back to honor. To get back to dishonor I just kill 10-15 bot riding horses. Or you can have a friend that has done all the mission and run through them with you. This will unlock the mission for you too. So you don't have to go through the trouble of raising and lowering your honor level to access new mission.

I agree. As long as it not a godmode glitch, that players can use against me. I don't care. Example that one in the beta that turned players invisible or players glitching into non accessible building shoot at you but you cannot shoot them. For those that say R* isn't doing anything about it. I looked up on YT and I've seen there have be several money glitches that have been patched. Since the new update came out. But it looks like it's extremely easy for the YT guys to figure out new ones. I was wondering why I saw a bunch of players around the butcher like a rock concert, the past few days.

You're welcome, I don't like what R* is doing with the price cuts on hunting and fishing. So wanted to release my map version to help players find items and save some money. I do notice one mistake. I was trying to make it more organized and clean it up before posting. Note: There is no Crackers in Citadel Rock That is the Crackers for the House below the O and R in Forest, in Cumberland Forest. Hey all, I'm new to this site. Just like you all, I don't want to pay for items I can find in houses. Here is my map of all the items I found. This map isn't complete. It's just what I've found. Since the map is extremely large and you can zoom into the individual house locations. I tried to Insert other media and it didn't work. . If I can some how upload the file from the link to this site? that would be great.
