well, so much for playing online :-(

today i tried to play online but how do i get into online mode? does my version (installed from the DVDs, not updated) have that option? when i load the game, the options i get are social club which requires me to log into playstation network (not gonna happen because of sony's privacy policy) and story mode which is of course not online. so how do i get into online mode?

hi. i'd like to try the online mode of RDR2 but i dont want sony to spy on me. the obvious solution is a firewall but i need to know the IP addresses or domain names of sony's servers (so that i can block access to them) and R*'s servers (so i can allow my PS4 to contact them). has anyone found out those domain names or IP addresses?

i found out that it works for some orchids but not for others. i still have a bunch of orchids (spider orchids, IIRC) and the option to sell them doesn't come up. plus, the amount of money you get back is unpredictable. i sent off one orchid and got 12 bucks back, then i sent off 4 orchids (1 of one kind, 3 of another) and i got 13 bucks back. hmmm...

there's a guy on youtube who claims that you have to push the buttons in a certain order, but i think all you have to do is push the right buttons and the order doesnt matter. who is right?

well, it works for me, so it should work for you too.

actually, i found out that you CAN turn them into cash. just go to a post office and send them off, and you receive some cash the next day.

i went into the water at bards crossing (the big bridge near riggs station) and i could see the beach on the islands near clemens point. then i went to those islands and looked back towards that bridge, and again i could see the beach. that means they didnt model the curvature. but hey, modelling the curvature would make the math more complicated and the game would run slower, especially when looking at a view where you can see a great distance, like from the grizzlies towards saint denis. and what does a curved monitor have to do with it?

today i found out that flat iron lake is, as its name suggests, flat. no curvature 😞

when i went to look for the black and brown arabians, i couldn't find any. in one area there were horses but no arabians, and in the other area there were no horses at all. the question is, were the guides wrong or was it because i already had the white arabian? had to buy my black arabian from the stable in st. denis because i couldnt find the wild one.

good news. i just found out that he does come back. so i can use him to improve my honor :-)

stupid thing, really. i stopped at the beggar to give him a buck and improve my honor, but then i accidentally shot him. pressed r2 instead of l2. BANG! oops. rest in peace. now the question is, will he respawn like the trapper does, or is he gone now?

today i tried to do this challenge but i got stuck. the first attempt was only 483 feet, so i tried longer distances, but the challenge still says 483 feet. i went to hanging dog ranch, just barely close enough to make the 2 guards at the main gate appear. but even at that distance it didnt count, and it still said 483 feet. whats going on? is this a bug?

in chapter 4 arthur gets another letter from her. again, how does she know where he is?

has anyone ever tried to ride from willards rest to the sea of coronado, or vice versa? how long did that take? i can do van horn to owanjila dam in about 11 minutes, but willards rest to the sea of coronado is quite a bit further.

Actually, if I go back to shady belle, I find Dutch and the gang there. I did mention that I'm in chapter 4,didn't I?

well, i have noticed it. it could be some weird glitch in my version. i use the version i installed from the disks because my PS4 is offline.

thats what i thought, but like i said, i can't find them. weird... come to think of it, o'driscoll encounters are rare too. i just occasionally find some murfrees who are looting the camp of the people they just killed, and i dispatch them right away. of course i know where their main hideouts are.

hi. i'm in chapter 4, and it's been a while since i ran into any lemoyne raiders. no camps, no ambushes, no nothing. where are they? did they suddenly disappear when we took shady belle?

the one who got me hooked on rdr2 is shawn hufford. i watched his playthrough and decided to buy rdr2.

If you want to make potent predator bait, it doesn't have to be bluegill. It just has to be the same type, IIRC gritty fish. There are bigger fish that are suitable. Catch one, put it on your horse and select break down. You probably get 3 portions, and if your game has the same glitch as mine, the fish will still be there so you can do it again. And again. And again...

The weird thing is that while you're supposed to be able to carry 99 of everything in that big satchel, you can only carry 5 watches of each type. Why is that?
