  1. Have you downloaded the latest patch from 19 Nov, there's a note in the change log that adresses your issue i thiunk. From: https://support.rockstargames.com/articles/360038342293/RDR2-Title-Update-1-14-Notes-PS4-Xbox-One-PC Also try to verify your files after (to have all the required files to be reinstalled)
  2. Somewhat, but not really the technical fixes but rather convenient fixes like a Widescreen Fixer for removing black bars and correcting other stuff when using triple wide screens and such. Have a look here: https://www.nexusmods.com/reddeadredemption2
  3. Theres also a new nvidia Hotfix out that addresses the Vulkan users, maybe give it a try if you haven't already. https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/geforce-441-34-hotfix-driver-download,2.html
  4. I think the big one was just content update. It's Tuesday and I heard somewhere here that it is the usual content update day of the week. https://support.rockstargames.com/articles/360038342293/RDR2-Title-Update-1-14-Notes-PS4-Xbox-One-PC But, theres also a nvidia Hotfix out https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/geforce-441-34-hotfix-driver-download,2.html
  5. Theres a nvidia Hotfix out for Vulkan users. https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/geforce-441-34-hotfix-driver-download,2.html Edit; maybe wrong thread to litter up, plz delete this one and I'll add to the one already discussing 19 Nov updates.
  6. Haha, yes, same here. I was really in to Ghost Recon Breakpoint and The Outer Worlds, then RDR2 dropped on PC and they're on the shelf for now. 😅
  7. Are you using the game ready driver 441.12? Have you tried to verify the game files from the launcher? If so maybe you could try different graphical pre-sets and different engine (try both Vulkan and dx12) and see if it goes away, then its something in there you can change to fix it. I would guess some AA setting in combination with choice of engine, but that's just a guess and would be the one I looked into at first.
  8. Hi, Cant you just delete it and re-download?
  9. I'm running the latest, and when frames are unlocked I'll get worse performance then the driver before. I'm using the dx12, all on Ultra except TAA medium. But I'm running with frames locked to 30 (Half V-sync) until Rockstar patches the bug about the cores and wear and tear are related to FPS. So i've got some headroom even though I run in 4K all maxed out. Will roll back the driver if its still bad when Rockstar patches the bug and i can run with unlocked frames.
  10. Haha, well... I really want to manually tag. Didn't get time to do the mission last night so I'm still in auto-target. The hunting is somewhat hard with the auto-targeting, more then once when in a hurry on horseback when I see a perfect animal and I need to kill it in dead eye, I'll spray it with bullets and the pelt is ruined. Even worse when it comes to birds. But some of it was remedied after i got scopes on all hunting guns. Then i can manually shot in slowmotion. Yeah, but this is the only PC specific forum, and the question was PC related so for me it's legit. Would maybe be good to have an PC specific sub under the "Red Dead Redemption 2" though.
  11. Hi, You need to install Rockstar game Launcher or Epic Launcher then buy the game, then you will be able to download it through the launchers. Pre-Download is/was only offered if you bought the game and before the official release time.
  12. Beautiful, wallpaper material right there!
  13. Gollum from Lord of the Rings. He likes fish. So do I. Hes got that "Onoes/my gawd!" expression that I like and find fitting in some cases on a forum.
  14. Ok, that would be the default behavior with the crosses. I'll have look in my settings and see if i can find it when I'm back home from work tonight if you haven't figured it out by then. EDIT: Just stumbled over this: https://www.vg247.com/2019/11/04/red-dead-redemption-2-dead-eye-level-up-auto-target/ It says in Chapter 2 after the mission "Pouring Forth Oil mission" you get an upgraded Dead eye where you can tag manually instead of the auto-targeting. I'm just about to do that mission so I have the Auto targeting Dead Eye, and maybe you have the upgraded but missing info on what button to press for the actual tagging? If so, I won't know until tonight when I'm finished that mission.
  15. Hmm, do you mean the small crosses on enemies in slow motion when in Dead Eye that points where the the shots will go? If so they just appear on the enemies when pointing at them in Dead Eye. Or do you mean some other tagging?
  16. Just after a release with so many issues i would not be surprised if the response time would be way off their standard time.
  17. I get some ghosting from the TAA Medium settings i use. Maybe it could be that? It'll go away if i turn off the TAA. Try experimenting with your AA settings.
  18. Try the "Fullscreen" setting. You could also try ALT+ENTER to make the game window go fullscreen.
  19. It was planned for a late release on Steam. It's not about the state of the game at all, its about the cut Steam takes from devs. Epic even pays some devs to have them release on their store and block Steam out for a while. Yes, 25% is for some, others even 30%. But I'm no expert in this stuff. It's just stuff i've read and heard. https://www.polygon.com/2019/1/24/18196154/steam-developers-revenue-epic-games-store
  20. Sorry, that one i have issues with as well.
  21. Have you reported this to Rockstar? RDR2.org is a fan page, not an official Rockstar site so its not granted Rockstar Devs even read stuff on here. If not reported, heres the link for it: https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadonline/feedback?redirect_lang=en_us Before i dropped SLI i was running nvidia surround in triple wide to play games as you, and i found wsgf.org (Widescreen Gaming Forum) to be my top site to find solutions and fixes for triple wide issues, there are modders and some devs there that can makes fixes for some of this stuff. Check it out and ask in the forum there also if someone knows a fix or workaround. Good luck!
  22. Thx for this tip! Will try go fishing today! 😊
  23. So it seems there's a bug that causes up to 4x drain of cores and up to 4x faster weight loss in the PC version. Also weather effects seems effected. Until it's fixed you could lock FPS to 30 if you want to circumvent this bug. EDIT: Also now public in media about it, the BUG is real. https://www.vg247.com/2019/11/15/red-dead-redemption-2-core-drain-faster-pc-high-framerate/
  24. Finally got some some last night to test the new patch and for me it worked fine. The crashes i got after the first patch seems to have gone away, i could run it for 2,5h and exit without crashes now. So now I'm happy again, I really hope the crashes are totally gone because this weekend will be an Irish Coffee induced Cowboy Adventure Weekend. 🤠
  25. Regarding the map, after the patch you can now double click with LMB to set the waypoint. For me the performance is the same as before the patch in Single Player. I run it on a 43" 4K monitor with everything on max settings except for TAA Medium, other AA and Motion Blur OFF. Get 40-50 FPS and it looks gorgeous. i7 6850K 6c/12t @ 4.2Ghz, 32 DDR4 RAM 3200Mhz, RTX2080ti and game installed on NVMe PCIe x4.
