Edit: This is my ingame footage from odyssey. All runs like butter. I´ve looked for scenes that show, that the PS4 Pro can handle massive foliage anf high drawing distance with hdr 10

 

please click with the lense oder in deutsch Lupe into the image that you see the totally quality of the images.

 

You can see no blur in all scenes. Sharpen edges and foliage and good texture quality Like a holidaytrip

This is for all XBox Fanboys that talk about that the ps4 pro and ps4 pro Checkerboarding is crap

I made a video of the beginning from AC Odyssey, Now I will create a video of RDR2 with forest scenes to comparison. This is how checkerboard can work on foliage and how a game looks with lesser blur effects. The lighting is awesome too. This runs with any dips. Enjoy it.

 

Video is not done. It take 15 mins and than I create a video of red dead redemption with scenes to comparison. Especially of trees and running in the forest.

My own footage of the beginning in kephalenia of AC Odyssey. Look at the detail of forests textures.

But someone that can speak good english must send the comparisons and images to a platform where a lot of more users can see this issues.

The lighting and shadows are really the best in rdr2 of any game

The level of detail in forests is very high. But the foliage blurs to hell. I made this video without the switching from 1080p to 4k resolution.The video is started in the 4k mode without hdr. Yes without hdr it has nothing to do with hdr. The image is blurry as hell.

Odyssey has very good drawing distance and a lot of details, but looks more like a cgi disney movie in comparison to RDR2. RDR2 has a special look, cinematic cine style, Very realistic lighting and shadows, but I´m sure the pro can handle this game with less blur. This is how a game looks when all postprocessing effects are to agressive in connection with taa and checkerboard rendering.

 

Edit: I have created a video of forest scenes of witcher 3 with horseriding this is better for comparison. Here you can see how much foliage a ps4 pro can handle. The setting is better, because odyssey has a mediterran setting. They are no tall trees and green grass. The Witcher 3 shows how a wood can look with 2160p checkerboarding on the pro.

I played a scene in Whitegarden.

 

You can see folks this has nothing to do with any tv settings this is a calibrated tv. I´m using hdr on my tv in the witcher 3 and AC Odyssey, but the share function of the ps4 can´t handle HDR.

And this is why I think Rockstar has a deal with Microsoft and corrupting sony. That are all good examples that can show you the power of a PS4 Pro

Look at the high details on forest ground the implemantation of snow, water, shadows and lighting in combination with the best HDR you can have.

RDR2 is now the only title that has a massive improvement and is a reason to buy an X. No other titles looks that good as sonys exclusive games.

 

Edit: Odyssey has a new, upade. The sixth update in six weeks. This is how support works. Tomb Raider receives an update the seventh update in 8 weeks. What do you think about it Rockstar Games.? This developerteams hd a crunchtime too.

But now I think odyssey do a better job, ok it is adifferent game, but I´ve a lot of more fun with odyssey. I can relax and play the game.

I know this is not the answer people would like to hear at the moment, but as it is right now there is only one thing to do. First change the resolution on the ps4-pro to 1080p and select HDR off. 

 

This will make the game run smother and will take away the blurry picture. To me that setting is by far the best both regarding performance and picture quality.

Yes the motion blur effect is to agressive, with enemy you can´t focus anything because of the blur.

I´ve written something about the blur in a german forum for 5 Mins.

 

Sorry Leute könnt ihr bitte mal ansprechen dass das Spiel auf einer PS4 Pro im 4k Modus nahezu unspielbar ist, aufgrund der schlechten Bildqualität. das Spiel wird hier überall zum Himmel gepriesen, aber das Spiel ist aufgrund der schlechten Bildqualität unspielbar. Im Wald verschwimmt alles bei schnellen Bewegungen zu einem Brei. Die Pro hat doch das Potential. Schaut Euch doch mal bitte diesen Thread im Forum Rdr2.org an oder auf Retera, warum liest man darüber nichts eine Menge PS4 PRO Besitzer führen sich von Rockstar zurecht hinters Licht geführt.

Der Bluranteil im Spiel ist so hoch das man es maximal eine Stunde spielen kann ohne Kopfschmerzen und Augenschmerzen zu bekommen. 

Bitte berichtet darüber und wenn ihr könnt redet mit Rockstar.

Das ist das Spiel was wir eine Woche vorher im finalen Trailer gesehen haben. Hat Rockstar eine Fusion mit Microsoft? 

Dazu kommt Rockstar bietet den schlechtesten Support an in der ganzen Gamingbranche. Sie sollten mal schauen was Ubisoft im Moment für de Community tut oder Nixxes.

I'm noticing the same thing. It's like the whole game is slightly out of focus. It's not terrible, but it's noticeable and I'm sometimes finding myself squinting.

This theory aligns with the fact that the issue only appears on PS4 Pro consoles and not the PS4 (which is limited to 1080p) or the Xbox One X (which renders 4K natively).

One user managed to get a response from Rockstar Support who told them in response "Yes, we are hard at work fixing a few of the issue the community is facing".

We'll update you as we learn more, but in the meantime it appears there is little that can be done until a fix is released. You can follow along the discussion here.

You must have been eyes that recognize not those blur. Look at the foliage. It is all blurred. You have the same issues. Are you playing on full hd. The problem is much lesser on 1080p. This is a problem of the 4k mode. If you are happy of that, no problem 4 you. Look at my screenshots of odyssey and look at my videos of other open world titles like the witcher 3 wildhunt or Horizon Zero Dawn. It is abig difference in sharpness.

So, you are a happy guy, if you can life with those blur issues.

Anyone who doubts the overly aggressive amount of blur can see for themselves like this:

-note image quality while in game

-press the share button

-note that when the share button is pressed, the detail in the foreground and background increases. This is especially noticeable during cutscenes.

im starting to think the ridiculous amount of blur was an artistic decision. Why otherwise blur a sharp looking game?

Temporal Antialiasing would be not  shown in Images or Fotomode. TAA. It is the same in some PC Games. That is the Effect of the Postprocessing Antialiasing. I´m wondering how could anyone  on the ps4 pro use the upcoming battle royal mode in 4k resolution mode

There are several communities with hundreds of thousands of views and we are on the verge of making this go viral. (Send him links to here and every other forum or FB group you can!)

please make an official announcement, or else I fear the backlash from Sony customers is going to be massive.

The worst is, a lot of people think really that comes from our Tv´s I have a discussion in the german forum of gamepro. Your tv is crap, Buy a new tv. Posting videos with the same issues, but don´t realize it.

 

It is a good idea to send a link of this forum, to the supervisor of rockstar.

But this is the first real answer of a rockstar support guy. All the other answers are generated. In the german forum, the users became the same answers.

It looks like they heard it, but it's not their first priority

Vielleicht hole ich mir zu Weihnachten doch nochmal die X. Ich kann es so beim besten Willen nicht spielen.

For me, when I try play on ps4 pro after xbox X - literally impossible, like go back in time (playing on PC in 1080p in 2008 and get pissed of 720p and bad antialiasing in ps3 exclusives)
Cant imagine, one of the best game ever have so shitty launch, so bad Rockstar wait for PC version, 60 fps with Euphoria physic and disable TAA - can look more gorgeous

Actually ps4 pro is the one with boost mode. Nade ps4 is not.  Boost mode advertised on ps4 pro to help titles without ps4 pro support.
