djh1988 Posted November 8, 2018 Share Posted November 8, 2018 I am also having this problem as well. I have redeemed both the Ultimate Edition code and the War Horses code. I was only able to installed the Pre-Order Bonuses and even then, I was not able to get any content. No Cash Bonuses, No free weapons, not even a War Horse. I am also half-way into Chapter Three and I have zero content. This has been a real disappointing experience and it's a shame because this is a great game, but I cannot enjoy it. I bought the Ultimate Edition from GameStop, which gave me two War Horse codes so I have to contact Rockstar to provide me a Ultimate Edition code, which they did. And now I do not have any content. I've now had responses from five different support techs. And the last one, clearly did not know what she was talking about. They had me jumping through hoops doing all sorts of stuff to rectify this problem, and this dimwit comes along and suggests that? I mean really, suggesting that I go to 'manage horses' and call my horse? You don't think I've tried that already? Obviously just whistling is not going to bring me my War Horse, because I never bought it because it was not available. She would have known that if she read the previous messages back and forth. At this point it's all about principle. I'm halfway through the game, and I'm pretty sure the horse I'm using will get the job done just as well as the war horse. I'm going to keep bothering, and pestoring them until I get what I paid for. And hearing everybody else's same issues, I'm hoping to provide some insight and help everybody else get their stuff too. For god sakes, just issue me another code. I've already submitted a video showing my gamertag, that I have downloaded the DLC, they also had me reinitialize my PS4, which is brand new about a week ago, and the issue is still ongoing. Why not just give me another code? I submitted a response to that last reply from them, and I wasn't overly friendly about it. Was supposed to restore licences and then check that the dlc was purchased and downloaded. Then my warhorse should be in the stables. It wasn't, of course. So, update: On Nov. 10th, I get a msg from R* saying, "Your case has been escalated to the proper department for further review." Then, on Nov.11th, I get a request from a R* 'Supervisor' asking me to "reboot in Safe Mode, and update the System Software." Fine, whatever...although I did this last week when they asked me to initialize my BRAND NEW PS4. I am halfway through Chapter 3, so at this point I am willing to bet that I will be finished the game before this is resolved. However, I will update this thread when I get new information from R*. I don't know what looking at the receipt will do. I am thinking they will ask me to re-install and start the story mode over. I have no interest in doing that. I have invested a lot of hours in this product already. If they do, I will be telling them that I will not be doing that, and that it will more than likely be the last R* product I purchase, or at least the last time I dish out an extra amount of money for bonus material. I know, I know, they'll probably roll their eyes and laugh. Anyhow, sorry to hear you're having the same problem(s) as I am and a ton of other people. I really hope you get the issue worked out as it looks a lot of people are having the same thing happen. It's one of the reasons why I only buy the game initially. If the game ends up being good I'll fork over for the DLC's, but the special edition packages never really make me feel like I got my $$'s worth. When I first read what you wrote I thought, "Awww, man, another Captain Obvious!" lol I literally thought you were serious lmao!! Yeah, it's been quite a struggle but hopefully I can get some answers, hopefully something that other people can apply to their problem(s) and help them. I hate seeing people not get what they paid for. I don't care if it's just a new code they give me, or something....show me you WANT me to purchase more R* products. So yesterday I made a trip to my local GameStop and preordered a game and thought ‘what the hell’ I’m desperate to get a resolution so I told the store employee about my issue and how there’s others who are experiencing similar things and he asked me if both my DLC sheets had a different image from one another (according to him, everyone should’ve gotten two DLC sheets, one containing the warhorse and the other, the remaining bonuses) ..I said no, they’re the same. I told him I only have the warhorse and that’s it, he said that’s the root of the problem, Rockstar sent me Two Warhorse DLC in replace of the missing bonuses I was supposed to get. I guess, he told me, that rockstar sent out a lot of Two of the same DLC sheets on release day and that he’s seen this happen with GTA V. Maybe the reason I haven't had any issues with ultimate edn DLC is that I got the early pre-order digital edn and pre-downloaded it. Maybe digital was the way to go with this? I had absolutely no idea I was supposed to get TWO CODES! I literally just opened the game, grabbed the code and put it in. I figured it was just one code that did all the bonus materials, tbh. Looks good on my gaming shelf LOL Maybe digital is the way to go. I've only bought digital once....Tiger Woods pga TOUR 2014 and had no issues. Mind you it's 2 different companies. EA sports and R*. I went to GameStop yesterday like I was advised to do by an employee last week and they said they don’t deal with product related problems in store anymore and gave me the number to GameStop support and reassured me that I would get a new code. I called today around 12:05pm (pacific time) and spoke to a lady, I think her name was Julie but she was nice but transferred me to their account department or something like that. This time it wasn’t so much pleasant as it was with Julie, this guy just couldn’t understand me when I kept repeating THAT I GOT 2 OF THE SAME DLC CODE. It was very frustrating as I was questioning and making sure that this new code would be the holy grail I’ve been desperately yearning. I ask: So this should relsolve all and I will have my missing items? Him: yes. Me: just want to clarify, this isn’t the warhorse DLC because I already have that, I’m missing the outfits, guns and other accessories. Him: this is the ultimate code, it’s the best one, we give these out on special occasions and this is one of the. Me: but didn’t the ultimate edition come with that “ultimate code”? It just sounds so vague.. him: I don’t know sir. Well after hearing that I just gave up and accepted the code. Overall it was a bittersweet experience /: please everyone, hope/pray/whatever, that this works out for me!
