You know what? The SAME EXACT thing happened to me, too, a little while back. I was pretty annoyed by this. However, I just used the Saint Denis horse method to get myself a gray rose arabian, which is better than the previous horse I had. Now I’m not really upset about losing the horse anymore, but I could’ve sold it to make a good wad of cash.

You have to rewind the video so you can see the event.  Death by glitch (fell through the map). 

 

OP, this is why you need to manually save every now and again.

yeah? my horse died from when i took the train it was in front of the train and would not move...

My horse was lost because I jumped off of it near the post office and then the horse somehow ran onto the tracks while a train was coming, and unfortunately died.
