Collectors Edition

Do you think there will be a collectors edition? What will be in it? When do you think they will announce it?

There will definitely be a Collector's Edition, I think we will get a buttload of information about Red Dead Redemption 2 when Rockstar next announce it, and the Collector's Edition will be part of that.

Of course there will be. They usually come out a few months after the release don't they??

Then again they seem to come out the same date these days... I guess they will likely announce it when we are within 3 months of the game being released.

It depends on the game. If they want to milk it out they may hold off on the collectors editions till closer to Christmas assuming that they still have the game release int he fall of this year.

Question is what would you want from a collectors edition to make it worth buying?

I'd love a decent set of dice, some playing cards and printed rules of their mini-games like liars dice, poker, etc. all themed accordingly. A nice printed map would also be welcomed (i.e. none of these crappy digital bonuses that almost never justify the cost of the game).

Having that would make it worth it. I wouldn't mind getting a poster and a figure even. Maybe have a few options in the figures as well.

Yeah I still have a Big Daddy from the original Bioshock and it's a thing of beauty. Maybe a USB stick gun or something similar would be nice (I also have the dog-tag USB drive included with the SC2 CE and even though it's tiny it at least included the original game...even if it is free now anyway).

I have never been one to buy these so I am not bothered if there is or there isn't. I am more inclined to buy a "Game of the year" edition assuming this game will win it. And yes, I am confident it will!

Not sure they would do a USB gun just because #kidsruineverything 

But yeah my friend has the Big Daddy too. I didn't even play Bioshock but that thing is slick. One of the better things I have seen come with a limited/collectors edition for games.

I am not one to buy these so it would really have to be something good. I would like something that is heavily part of the story as well.

I would fork over any and everthing to rockstar, i bought the collectors edition of GTA 5 and the limited edition strategy guide (Which has 0 actual use). I am happy to have whatever they give me, but i refuse to buy any in game currency

They've already confirmed that the collectors edition will contain 1 RDR2 disk, 1 real horse and 1 functioning Springfield Rifle.

Damn man. I better start saving for a stable. Not sure how parents will handle that one if their kids get a free horse.
