UKRogue1
Hello .. I am new to Red Dead and new to gaming (only about a year now). I bought RDR2 and now I am hooked, hooked, hooked .. I want to buy RDR 1 but I cannot find a PS4 version only Ps3 and I do own XBoxOne X and can only find RDR 1 for Xbox 360. Can anyone tell me if I can buy RDR 1 for the platforms I have ? Really appreciate it. I LOVE THIS GAME ..
Smash_N_Grab-
Only way you can play it on ps4 is through the PS Now subscription.

Smash_N_Grab-
I think you can get a 7 day free trial if you've never used PS Now before. Usually costs about £12 per month. Because it'll be a streamed game I'm not sure what the quality of it will be like, hopefully it's decent because RDR was a great game.

Hey guys, I actually streamed it for a month and it was extremely glitchy for me. I had a wired connection and pretty good speeds for my internet too. If you buy a used PS3, and a red dead disc it would be about the same price as paying the monthly fee for PS now for like 4 months. Also just a heads up... There's no chat available for the PS Now version of RDR. Hope this helps. Edited November 18, 2018 by Jackthestripper

I'd personally rather buy a ps3 instead of using PS Now if its still unreliable.
Limey77
I got the 7 day feee trial of PS Now and had only 20mb broadband and it was absolutely fine. Played through and completed the game - not to 100% or anything. But completed the main story and side quests in the 7 day free trial. Give be it a go OP and then cancel. Kean_1
PS Now sucks. ....at least it did for me and my internet speed is decent. It's BS that the PS4 never was backward compatible with PS3 games but now recent rumors / leaks about the PS5 (via recent patent appllications, etc.) indicate that the new console may accept PS4 games. Anyhow, use the free trial and see for yourself if it works in your situation. It did for me the first day but then I had issues after that.
