Witnessed my first public hanging

Came through town (I think Valentine) the other day when they were hanging some guy.   That was kinda intense to watch,  especially with his woman wailing right next to me.   Has anybody else seen this  yet?

yep saw that exact same hanging this weekend when i was working on the sharpshooter challenges.  Wouldn't let me shoot him down either.

I have only seen 2 of these, the one you mentioned in the OP seems to be one of the same. I wasn't too shocked by it because I have seen it done in movies and old west themed series but I do like the attention to detail they did, even if it was brutal.
