Red Dead Online will always be growing and getting better as time goes on, but I understand what you mean by this.

GTA Online was hugely successful so even if red dead matches it, which it will surpass it is awsome

Maybe we will get an announcement today, doubt it, but Rockstar as many of you know is super unpredictable haha.

What makes you think they won't?

You also have to realize that GTAV set the benchmark for success with relatively few games ever lucky enough to come close.  GTAV:O continues to break records today. 

Also, RDR2 is not a replacement for GTAV:O.  Both games will continue to live alongside one another into the foreseeable future.  R* has no plans to abandon GTAV:O anytime soon and will continue to release updates.

RDR2 has already shown impressive sales records and I have no doubt that RDO will also be a hit.  Both will supply years of enjoyment to their fans.

Seriously though, they are putting and have been putting way more into this game than GTA V so I am not worried about online being less successful.

I just asked about this in the general chat. I can't find any updates on when it will happen. I feel like if it is going to happen, they will likely spring it on us this weekend or next weekend.

Red Dead Online NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL. Successful projects take time and never compromises on quality. If rockstar games need time to launch red dead online, let it be. When it will launch, rdo needs to meet the expectations of many fans of rdr2.
