Red Dead Redemption 2 Unusued Dialogue Hints At Possible DLC

Developing a game as big as Red Dead Redemption 2 is a daunting task, but Rockstar Games managed to do so and release a game that's relatively free of issues. Some glitches are still found here and there, but this isn't a particularly bad thing, as it has allowed some players to find some unused dialogue that may hint at future DLC.

Before we proceed further, we have to warn you that there will be massive spoilers for both Red Dead Redemption 2 and the original Red Dead Redemption, so avoid reading further if you have yet to complete any of the two games.

Spoiler

After completing Chapter 6 in Red Dead Redemption 2, players will control John Marston for the remainder of the game. The two epilogues bridge the gap between Red Dead Redemption 2 and its predecessor, allowing players to see with their own eyes how John went from being a ruthless outlaw to a rancher.

During the two epilogues, players can interact with NPCs like they do in the main story chapters. Some players, however, have discovered a glitch that changes John's voice when replying to non-playable characters. Interestingly enough, it's adult Jack's voice.

This discovery is very interesting for multiple reasons. For starters, adult Jack never appears in Red Dead Redemption 2, as he is still a teenager at the end of Epilogue 2. The dialogue may have been meant for Red Dead Online, but it doesn't make much sense to employ the same voice actor who voiced adult Jack.

For these reasons, there's the chance that adult Jack may make an appearance in Red Dead Redemption 2 future content. Since the direct continuation of the game is actually in Red Dead Redemption, it wouldn't make much sense to release a DLC pack starring adult Jack. On the contrary, it would make much more sense to release a remastered Red Dead Redemption as DLC. A placeholder Mexico map has already been found in the game, and it can be accessed through a glitch, so this isn't all that unlikely.

Adult Jack plays a very small role in the original Red Dead Redemption. In the final mission of the game, the Beecher's Hope ranch is attacked by Agent Ross and his colleagues, and John decides to remain in the ranch and effectively die to let Abigail and Jack escape. In the game's epilogue, set a few years after John's death, players control Jack as he seeks vengeance against Edgar Ross. He succeeds in the end and starts living the outlaw life his parents have lived years back.

As remastering Red Dead Redemption into Red Dead Redemption 2 as DLC would definitely take some time, we shouldn't expect news of future DLC to come soon. We will let you know more about the matter as soon as possible, so stay tuned.

I knew about the map glitch a few weeks ago, and I think it's only logical for R* to re-release the original using RDR2, but the randomness of the voice glitch seems suspicious.

That glitch could easily be faked with editing.  Trust me, I want to believe, but the voice glitch seems too random.  We need to know what exactly triggers this.
