auto aim failure

i noticed my auto aim not working half the time, i tried switching the config to every setting with no change, thought it was just me untill one of friends was over and i handed them the controller,they confimed what i thought. any one else having this issue

Nope auto aim works fine for me, before and after Tuesday's patch, in single player mode, i don't play online so that may be a different story.  Sometimes obstacles in the way can block auto aim.  I had that happen last night taking cover behind a tree trying to get to the legendary fish in New Austin.  Was hoping if i crossed the river border south of Blackwater the bounty hunters wouldn't be as fierce, but they were, maybe even worse.  Tree branches would throw off the auto aim, so i'd have to wait for them to get in the clear then it would work just fine.

Could be something similar for yours?  or maybe a mission where the auto aim is disabled?

nope, happens on story and online and i can be in a wide open feild

got me then,  i haven't had an issue with it, on my game or my son's Xbox.

i have 2 controllers and they do just fine with every other game i have, only with rockstar games do i have this issue

Yes, i killed one that way last night while searching for Oleander in the Bayou.  you can do that with gators, muskrat, beavers and waterfowl also.

just to be clear, im not some young kid or a noob, im 38 and been gaming since atari, i know what im doing and i know what to look for

don't recall anyone mentioning or hinting at that. I've got you by a few years.  Intellivision was my first, then atari, then every nintendo console and sega console, then went to CD games with game cube, then ps, ps2, ps3, xbox 360, xbox one, and now xbox one S

same here, after atari that is except i didnt go past xbox with micro soft, but og's like us know to explore every option first when we have an issue,i am how ever new to asking on forums because i didn't need to before, always been able to solve my issues before now, well that and im a but hole,just ask my wife lol 😛

So no one has a solution to this , it just happened to me on my xbox one x ? =/
