Traks1 Posted February 25, 2019 Posted February 25, 2019 As per title. Do I really have to buy a new saddle with every new horse?. If not, how not. Thanks.

0 Harlock1796 Posted February 25, 2019 Posted February 25, 2019 But you do, in my experience, need to replace other tack - stirrups and saddlebags don't seem to transfer over with the saddle, inexplicably. 1
0 Traks1 Posted February 25, 2019 Author Posted February 25, 2019 (edited) Thanks both. This is for online obviously. Due to age induced silliness I am still not getting quite how it works but will suss it out now I know it's not necessary. Is it all done via stables as one can't have two owned horses out in the world or what?. Apologies for my bad comprehension. Should be made clearer by R* frankly. Daftness and lack of clarity has already resulted in me paying twice as much for an unnecessary saddle than my Ardennes cost. Edited February 25, 2019 by Traks1
0 Ozy8753 Posted February 25, 2019 Posted February 25, 2019 When you go into tack it will list all the saddles, just choose the saddle & stirrups you own then make the horse active. 1
0 Traks1 Posted February 25, 2019 Author Posted February 25, 2019 Thanks Ozy. a bit more level grinding to go to get the hoss I'm after and it's good to know I don't have to get ripped for yet another saddle.
0 tadp0le Posted February 25, 2019 Posted February 25, 2019 I typically keep all my old gear. I have updated some stirrups though. I am waiting for the real good stuff to drop. I know they are holding out on some bomb saddles.

The upgraded gerden trail saddle was the best rated in story mode unless you went with the exotics. My advice to newer players is to get a medium rated horse and improve it with saddle and stirrup upgrades rather than spending gold or $950 on an upgraded horse. IMHO those two upgrades will allow a medium rated pony (better than Speed 3, 2 Acceleration) to perform with the best of them. After all, all you need to do is escape, right? 😉 Edited February 27, 2019 by Major Dammidge Omitted word
