Easter plans?

Does anyone celebrate Easter? If so, what are your plans?

I don't celebrate it in the religious sense but in the family sense. We get together as a family every year for Easter dinner and desserts. I'm just hoping for no rain so I can enjoy some fresh air. Last year it was pouring rain.

same with my son and I and our family.  My parents and youngest brother and his family are the only ones religious.  My brother's family is almost fanatically religious, so pretty much anytime there's a church thing going on, like easter, you won't see or hear from them.  Which is fine by me,  i'm not religious and get tired of all their religious talk after a couple hours.  You want to get my brother really going, and i do it just to goad him and his wife sometimes, start talking about how the bible is just a bunch of children stories, fables like the Grimm Brothers, just not as gory as the original fables, not the Disney versions they have in print now.

Just going around to my Uncle's for dinner. They switch it off every year. Used to all go to my grandparents' house but they can't handle the load anything.

Anyone do easter egg hunts when they were growing up? I miss those. Can I be a kid again? lol

LMAO YES!!  i used to love the hunts.  we'd go to the city park and they'd do age groups, then take an hour or so between to hide eggs for the next group.  was so much fun.  they had plastic eggs with numbers in them you'd take and match with a prize number if you found them.  they quit doing that when i was in high school though :(

I remember one time i must have been 5 or 6, i found a Robin's nest in a tree and though the robin eggs were easter eggs candies, popped one in my mouth and bit it.  my grandmother was there, said i turned as green as the grass, spit the egg shells out, then ran around the tree and puked.  just happened to puke on a plastic prize egg.  they weren't too happy when i turned that one in ;)  I still haven't lived that down yet 40+ years later.

Most people in my family don't care much for holidays other than Christmas. We used to celebrate them all, even the patriotic ones. Not sure anything is happening this year. No one called or texted me about anything. I will likely just go to my girlfriend's parent's house.
