Honor rest with this update?

The one thing I immediately noticed was I have not seen any RED blips, only blue, actually that isnt true, just before I wrote this, I did see a single red blip, a cj something or other was his name,  in New Austin.

But it looks as though, everyone had their honor reset in the online game, so clean slate, a new start, and it is weird to me to look and see a half full server but not a single red blip.

I didnt read anything about that but It appears everyone started off yesterday blue again, and depending on their actions will remain blue unless they lower their honor to play a story mission or just started killing other players, which int as easy as it was two days ago, so if you are red already, you have been working hard at player killing, lol.

I am curious to see how many remain blue vs going right back to where they left off and are immediately back in the red.

Most folks were probably too busy checking out the new features like poker and playing the new missions, PvP events, etc.  After folks have a chance to explore all of this, I suspect the "dishonorable" among us will go back to doing what they used to do.  ....or maybe some won't due to the new Hostility features.

I suspect some players were new and got in and wanted to experiment over the past few weeks, putting them bold red, they now have a clean slate so I think some will stay blue, others will go back to what made them red in the first place.

The majority of newer players under say level 25 that are / were red blips, I think can go either way, it isnt necessarily that they wanted to be red blips, just how it worked out when they got started, others I think might recognize that they are now blue again and maybe will refrain from un-necessary player killing as it doesnt favor that behavior anymore.

We will have to wait and see.

It's my understanding that honour and blip colour aren't directly related. 

Blip colour is part of the hostility system, and is relatively short term, not part of the honour system.

Whilst indiscriminate murder affects both hostility and honour ratings, it has a much larger and quicker effect on hostility than honour. 

This means that you can easily be high honour but red blip or, conversely, blue blip dishonourable.

Hmmmm, thats interesting.

I guess you are right in that a high honor player can be a red blip, as you wrote it I realized, yeah that is right, so, either low or high honor can be either red or blue, but in game it seems everyone was brought back to blue to begin this new era in RDR2O.

The honor status was unchanged.   I was full dishonorable while the update hit and was still red after update. Noticed as well that there are less ppl freeroaming anyway but its normal. I was freeroaming bcoz i wanted to grind some cash for poker game. I got 1k $ from hunting and turned full honor while doing that. I suspect  ppl just tried Poker (yeah shoot me here  ) , new missions and pvp. 

What i also noticed is that there are less "griefing" situations maybe bcoz of this press charges thing.

The Bleeb collor was rested to blue with the change as I understand it. The Honor not.

So all are blue. Players shooting you turn imediatly blue after going to a shop or camp or after a Moment of time.  If you shoot them then again you get a Bounty. That forms the anti griefing elelment. 

 

Before you become permanently red you will need to do a good amount of Kills and you are warned due to slowly growing up the Bleepcollorbar. If you cool down all good.

 

To stay Passiv you´re not allowed any defense and need to flee but if you defend you shoot a red dot ist fine but you are put to offensive then. If he turned blue again alreaddy, you become imediatly the agressor. So watch out before you shoot even in self defense.

Can I add a Vid here soemwhere or a short cut to my vids? Have some about ingame situations or train usage  I produced which might be a help for one or the other? If not all good but wanted to ask. Also you find them in my  Profile here if you want to take a look first?

It all boils down to intent.  Sharing a video in a relevant thread meant to help someone with a specific issue, confirm a specific problem, share a similar experience, etc. should be ok.  Posting videos to drive traffic to your channel, not so much.  Here are the rules:

Advertising/soliciting/self-promotion/selling/trading: Your purpose in joining our community should not be to sell or trade items/services, promote or advertise your site, social media, Youtube videos, etc. Forum contributions made for those reasons will be deleted and are cause for an immediate ban. Legitimate recommendations and external sources of information/help/entertainment etc are of course permitted, but just make sure your mentioning them for the right reasons.

Again, it's all in the intent.

Think I got it. I have a you tube channel, I am not profiting from it. I use it to put my fils on. I have films like where I answer an assasination attempt instead of going to flee as boring for both sides and explain what I do, I have a carriage race we did from Rhodes to Tumbleweed (7  carriages) in a bigger community with someone trying to Sabotage it, filmed in a funny way and I have some films on the Modis and 2 about the Train usage and whats possible with the train and so on. Would that fit into your allowed material and shall I enter a link then at the subject relevant?

Creating a thread to showcase your video(s)........I would say no.  Sharing a video in a related thread is a different story.

The whole idea is that it shouldn't be about "hey, I got these videos I want people to see on my channel".  Personally, I've let some videos / links in the Posse Recruitment slide simply because that sub-forum is all about recruitment and essentially advertising the group / posse (which is unique).  However, I've also had to stop several people from posting or linking because I felt it was more about them wanting to drive traffic to their channel than it was about contributing and being part of the community.  Again, it boils down to intent.  

Shoot me a PM if you feel the need to discuss further. I don't want to muddy up Lumper's thread with an OT discussion.  I appreciate it.
