Hipfire not working

I've tried different pistols including semi auto, If I hold R2(Shoot) it will either shoot one bullet or nothing. On xbox. Started yesterday was fine before that.

Are you sure it's not the controller?  If not, you want to open a trouble ticket with R* Support.  .....unless someone has some other suggestions or troubleshooting tips.

I can’t say for sure, but if I want to get more than one shot off from the hip, I need to mash the button, not hold it. It’s very rare I actually try this though, so I could be out to lunch here.

Yeah, it's never been full auto for me - one trigger pull, one shot.

Well, holding the button should only result in one shot unless your operating a Maxim machine gun. It's the "or nothing" that concerned me.

This could be after he holds and fires one bullet, releases and holds again for "nothing" is actually ejecting/chambering another round. I find I need to double tap most weapons to fire-chamber, fire-chamber fire-chamber... etc.

Yes. One button push to C oc k, one button push to fire. Except dual actions and semi autos anyway.

Hopefully OP comes back to see our answers. In fact I wouldn't mind the Accessibility options to include auto-chambering toggle if you press it once.
