Persistent posse problem..

So a couple of weeks ago I decided to create a permanent posse, I didn't care who joined it so it was open, I wanted 7 people so I'm spending lord knows how much on the larger camp sites. But nobody is able to join the posse, like at all, when I look at the posse members list (there are no members) it tells me that it's locked and I need to increase camp size, when I look on the players list to invite people I can't even do that. So again I try and move my camp while still keeping the larger size at an extra cost but it still doesn't work. I'm really hoping this is just a glitch that will eventually be patched but I haven't seen on any other forum anything about this perticular problem. I've tried disbanding the posse, joining a new session, restarting the game so I'm stumped. I really don't wanna permanently close the posse because it means I'll lose the $200 creation fee.

Please, am I doing something wrong? Has anyone gone through the same thing? Kinda bored of playing on my own.

I had the same issue for several days. I ended up starting the game forming the posse and it worked. This was after starting the game and clearing the cache. I know several other people that have had issues getting members in the posse that were in it before and are on the list. You may want to open a ticket with R* as well.

Hi Kiara and welcome to the forums.

I'm going to go ahead and move this to the main online forum as the recruitment forum is really just for those trying to find others to play the game with.

If no one else has advice as to how to fix your problem, I would do as @DNMNetTech said and contact R* Support to see if they can help.

That is a weird problem, don't disband it though. If you set it to open they still can't join? Just let it work itself out. However once you do have it working, you can only have a set amount of people join (i think its like 20 or something). Once that list is full you can't have anybody else join until you remove some people.

Set it to open and see if your friends or whoever can join then. If you can't invite somebody it could mean they joined the max amount of possies (don't know what the max is). Just like total members they won't be able to join until they remove some of the permanent possies they have joined.

Yep, it's always open, I don't mind who joins, people can come and go as they please, obviously if needed then I'd have to remove people but as of yet I've got nobody to remove, lol.

Im not having this problem with temporary posse's though so at the moment they're my saving grace. I've tried getting a friend to join but no luck. Hopefully this is just a temporary glitch that can be fixed, it's just a little frustrating.

I don't have an answer for you but we have had issues with getting people into a perma-posse, and people being in the posse but still a pale blip on the map. Sometimes the posse lists them as a member but they aren't actually in the posse as they get left behind when we do story missions etc. There is certainly a glitch with the posse system but I don't know how wide spread it is.

We usually manage to get it to work by changing session.

I thought I'd give you all an update, I put in a ticket with rockstar and had to send them a video clip of what was happening, they told me to permenantly disband the posse and gave me $200 in game money to create a new one and it worked perfectly and haven't had an issue since, this was about 3 days ago.

So kudos to rockstar for being responsive and helping me fix the issue.

But I'd definitely recommend that if the same problem happens to anyone else then contact rockstar, hopefully they'll be able to kind of refund the money rather than people just disbanding and losing money.

But thank you all for the advice, I literally would never have thought about contacting rockstar directly 😊

Hi there ,

im having the same issue.  Can you please let me know how you raised the ticket for this issue?   I raised one as a “bug” since it was the only one that allows free text.  It was closed immediately though.    Is this the right way?

The support team will email you back, saying some b.s. that they received your issue, blah blah blah. They will try to close your ticket immediately if you don't reply. Just keep replying back to their email, so they don't close it.  Just say the problem is still not solved.
