What do you NOT want to return in RDR2?

A lot of people keep saying all these things about wanting this or that or the other, but what did you HATE in RDR1 that you are hoping to GAWD doesn't return in the second one?

I didn't like those stupid long animations after you killed an animal. It had to cut away to just show a skinning scene. Like why? I DO NOT want those back!

I only watched the game play, I didn't actually play the game. I don't even know the whole story but I think the animations are cool!

I guess after doing it so many times, it gets annoying. Maybe just having a skip feature?

Yeah I guess you would have to play it to know what you don't like. Trust me, after skinning so many animals, the animation of it is just annoying as heck!

I did a bit of reading and seen a lot of people were actually mad about it LOL I guess it is just one of those things that gets boring after the first 100 times.

Blackwater was too empty and too small. When I realised BW was where he travelled from in the first place I was disappointed - I assumed he was from some big bustling city, not a couple of empty roads and half built houses. Where do all the people live? In one hotel?

If there is a city, and I presume it would be BlackWater, it needs more going on. It needs atmosphere, grunge, people standing in doorways, houses, busy sidestreets, people selling stuff. BW in rdr1 was cold, boring, empty and devoid of any sort of atmosphere.

I agree, and with the in-game city of Los Santos having been used as a "model city" for real-life studies and scenarios, I think it's safe to say that Rockstar has come along way in terms of creating a real atmosphere. Hopefully they carry this over to RDR2 (and no reason to think they won't). They can and should tweak it of course (a town in the Old West shouldn't feel like a modern day city) but that feeling of real activity and real people going about their day should persist.

For me, one thing that annoyed me in Red Dead Redemption was when you have the invincibility cheat on, and any cutscene happens, the cheat is then turned off. I don't know if that's happened to anyone else, but I hope Rockstar fixes that in RDR 2

With the 5 minute timer that they put on invincibility in Grand Theft Auto V, I wouldn't count on invincibility in RDR2 being unrestricted

I do not want so much of a focus on online only this time around like they've turned GTA V into. We have had GTA V released for quite some time now but without any new content for the single-player campaign. Everything looks like it is geared only for the online mode and while that's okay I would rather have them create new expansions like they did with GTA IV and the original RDR.

Other things I don't want:

  • Looking for herbs/flowers. I'm a cowboy not a farmer (unless it is the special "herb" if you know what I mean).
  • Hookers around without being able to take them upstairs

Hoping they listen and at least give a decent long single player game and also think about expansions

Weren't dead cities common back in the day though? Like that was considered an "up and coming" town. So it wouldn't be filled with people right away.

LOL'd at the hookers comment. I have to agree though. I liked that they did that because John was a man who turned his life around but the new story is all about gang life so I expect to see some hooker action!
