Question

Prompt, please, the principle of operation of the servers and game sessions. I want to know the ip address of the server / session I'm playing in. I didn't find anything on the subject. In the network, I found an interesting comment: "the server only saves data, and the session itself is held by the players as a torrent tracker."Is that really true?" Where can I find more information about their work?

You will have a hard time narrowing down the actual server IP. This is because R* is using Akamai's "Content Delivery Network". The CDN is a bank of servers around the globe that receive your request for content. They then contact the actual servers for the data then caches it. This speeds up response times to users and frees up requests from the actual servers. Hope that explains it.

Nope, you lost me there.

Part of that is that our friend is from a place where English isn't one of their official languages.    ......but glad DMN was able to figure out what he needed to know and respond.

Apologies if that came across as sounding disrespectful - it was the technical nature of the query, rather than the language, that had me stumped.  In particular, the quoted bit -  "the server only saves data, and the session itself is held by the players as a torrent tracker." 🤔😱
