I was just going to play the game and enjoy it, and these clowns dragged me here kicking and screaming. Please don't look at my participation here like some sort of ominous sign: the last two communities I was heavily involved in have gone down like the Hindenburg if it were crashing into the Superbowl during the National Anthem (Marvel Heroes Omega/Friday the 13th the Game). I am prone to hyperbole, snarkiness, and generally making an ass of myself at my own expense, and I have a habit of carpet bombing forums, as others here can attest. I killed 2 Xbox 360's with RRoD playing the original RDR, and I am beyond enthused for the sequel. The more I see and hear, the more excited I get. This is going to be fantastic, and with the way Rockstar has built the online component of their last few titles, I'm confident that the replay value for what appears to be a fairly limited story (as a prequel) will be nothing short of amazing. For now, I'm just getting the lay of the land here, but trust me, you won't have to look hard to find me around once I get acclimated. I got banned from SoT forums (literally for saying "GTFO") in the first few days and never really got back into it, so I don't really count that. Mine was for posting a thread asking "Who's interested in seeing a great video made by a member of this forum?"... Didn't even post the video. As for the beans, I hear that the first 100 preorders for the "Ultimate Slasher Edition" comes with a bag of them! I can hold out another month! There was a LOT of hilarious stuff in the older posts, like JPop calling Miller the Plaintiff in the suit (false), and a lot of other inaccuracy or outright misrepresentation by Gun/Illfonic on a whole host of things. Ben didn't like me calling them out with proof, so all the threads were deleted as were my responses, and I was summarily temp-banned without warning or notice. It wouldn't bother me if I had been misrepresenting things or lying, but no, wait, that was them. Selectively censoring old posts just because it made them look bad, and then barring me for a week under false pretenses (Ben literally said it was only for spam posting, but I'm not an idiot) really pissed me off. They can have their echo chamber; I literally just go in there and take pot shots with the truth, that it anymore. I'll never get rid of it because when I have friends over, they all want to play it, but that community is in hospice at this point. They ban or censor any sort of dissent, and have their buddies on the content creation side come in and white knight for them (like the director of Never Hike Alone, or the puzzle game folks) while bending the rules for some users and crushing any opposition. It used to be fun. I never took it seriously until they decided to make an example of me. I told everyone in the forums that I "fell down some stairs" because it was funny while hinting at the gross nature of their actions. They can have it. I'm leaning in here. Alright, I did see those. Didn't realize that was the reason for the suspension... They were pretty entertaining and definitely not worth suspending you for... Nothing that I read (from you) was a lie by any means. You dug up some dirt though, I'm sure they were very thankful for that. Can't have bad press when you're trying to squeeze every last penny out of a project, right? Ben called my thread "abusive behavior" and I got 30 days. To be fair, he warned me (after I pmed him about it) that if I posted Alder's TEASER video again that he would suspend me. That's why I never posted the actual (full) video. Still not sure how that was "abusive behavior" though... His video wasn't even that bad for them. While both RDR and F13 are Rated M games -- the likelihood of having younger players interested in an Old West/Cowboy game is much greater than them being interested in a 1980's-era horror game.
