.....5 months of trying but I finally have my PS5 on order directly from the PS store.  Order is being processed and it will ship 1-2 day for free (PS+ members).   Crossing my fingers it will be on the way today and arrive by Friday.  😁

Congratulations.

Congratulations.

Thanks. It came the day after it shipped.  Our TV died at the same time so now I've got a new 4K HDR screen to go with the new PS5.

Works great as expected and I'm glad I finally got my hands on one.

No problem although I haven't played RDR in quite some time I'm afraid. Been about a year other than a couple times I logged in just to collect some free stuff, etc.

Just hopped on RDR2 today SOOOOOOOO much better on the PS5. That frame rate I've always been complaining about when going into towns is completely gone thanks to the power of the PS5 hahahaha I'm a happy man!

Also, super awesome we can play PS4 games, I love this thing. I'm also happy it supports 120fps in some games. Got to play Call of Duty in 120fps smooth as milk!

Can't wait for more bigger titles to come out on this console and really use all of it's power!

Going to be pretty impressive if you ask me.

I may have to give it a go.

I did try Days Gone and it's buttery smooth at 60FPS. Other games affected by performance issues are worlds better (e.g. DayZ, although BI capped it a 30 FPS) and others are simply improved like the load times.

Btw, Ghost of Tsushima also looks and plays great.  Another game that took advantage of the backward compatibility feature to increase the frame rate.

What I'm looking forward to are the games made specifically for PS5 to take advantage of the DualSense controller. I can't wait for Gran Turismo or even new shooters that may play around with trigger feel, jams, etc. I think the controller is the biggest thing with the PS5 that we really can't expore right now but has so much potential.

Astro's Playroom would be a great game for you to see the possibilities with the dual sense controller, and it's also free. Call of Duty Cold War is one of the game I love playing at the moment because it supports 120fps and it looks absolutely amazing on my new monitor.

I played around with Astros Playroom which is a good showcase for the controller.

While I liked CoD:MW, I wasn't impressed with Cold War unfortunately. ....after playing the betas and seeing how they reverted back to the old CoD feel vs. continuing down the path IW laid, my friends and I passed on the game.

Yeah, I liked where the MW was going, but I didn't really care for going back to basics for the new game. I liked where the series was going because it actually was DIFFERENT for once. Anyways, definitely excited for Battlefield 6
