Greetings All;

Did updates kill off the blood and gore I used to see? No longer can I throw a body on the fire (okay, you CAN throw a body on the fire) but they will not catch fire like they used to. Taking a shotgun to someone’s head or limbs also had no effect anymore as well and remain intact unlike “back when”. Is this something Rockstar decided to do to tone things down or is there a setting that’s being overlooked? Searches have yielded nothing as of late. Thanks!

Is sounds like an issue on your end. I have no issues of missing gore or inability to burn bodies. I can still take a shot gun and make a head completely explode by a direct shot at it. You may be dealing with a bigger glitch than normal. It might be able to be fixed by reinstalling the game if it's something that hinders your gameplay. But if it's just a curiosity, or it only irks you, then I wouldn't really worry about it all that much.

Okay thank you both for the input. I kinda figured it was on my end as I did not see time topic coming up elsewhere on any forums, quite to the contrary actually! Thanks again for your input and time!

To all wondering - It was corrupted game files. Ran a file verification on the game and all is good once again. Exploding heads and all. Thanks again!

PS - Sure would be nice of Rockstar after the next GTA would go back to RDR2 and give it some love. Extended map, additional roles, etc. Tons of room for additional content and not just more dang clothing!

Probably not likely to happen. After GTA6 is out, their focus will be the next iteration of GTA Online.

I would say their next focus could just as likely be the next iteration of RDR.

IIRC, RDR2 released in 2020, GTAV released in 2013 and RDR2 released in 2018.  Now, there very well could be some next gen release of RDR2, etc., etc. but the next new game from either of these two may just be another RDR I'll wager.

Really depends on a number of factors but I guess we'll see.

It won't be their sole focus, but going back to RDR2 is pretty unlikely.

A map extension without some kind of story content to go with it would be utterly pointless and we all know story DLC like EFLC and Undead Nightmare are a thing of the past for post-GTA Online Rockstar.
