Wow do I miss posting on here, it's crazy how the times fly and change so fast. Downloaded RDR2 and hopped online for the first time in a great while, and I will say it's nice to visit the game sometimes. I'm still wishing they will eventually give us 60FPS on PS5/XSX as they refuse to update the game constantly, at least let us console players enjoy the game at it's full capacity. This game had so much potential, and it's unfortunate Rockstar refuses to commit to update it like they do for GTA Online. Looks like all we can do is look forward and be thankful for the memories we had. What is everyone up to now a days?

I never removed RDR2 from my PS4 and copied it onto my PS5 when I got one.  However, I haven't played in a long, long time.  I was holding out hope for a next-gen version or enhanced update so I could do another run-through.  ....or maybe an Undead Nightmare 2 but then the announcement was made that further development / large updates were not going to be in the future so all hope at that point was lost.

My friends and I are currently anticipating the release of Six Days in Fallujah.  That will be the next title we will be likely spending a lot of time playing.

I'm a bit burnt out myself. I've played and replayed RDR2 so many times, that there's not a lot left to do. At least nothing that is really intriguing to me. Since then I've been back to the games I play normally which are from the N64 era and back. I still say the best system ever created was the NES. But I do enjoy some of the newer stuff as well.

It's absolutely unfortunate they gave up on Red Dead. I think having the game at a full 60fps with 4k graphics would be awesome along with a possible Undead  Nightmare release. It frustrates me because there was so much potential for this game. So sad.

Yeah, a lot of modern games just don't have that special touch a lot of older games had. I think it's because it's more corporate business side of things now rather than a bunch of nerds with passion creating the games. There's only a few companies that still create awesome games, but in today's world those companies are few far in between.

Online forums in general are dying out. Much like how Twitter overtook Facebook as the premier social networking site, Discord is quickly taking the place that forums occupied. It's sad, really. I have so many memories of good times on forums that no longer exist.

I dunno.....  I still frequent some forums I have for years and they are still quite active.

I also think it's sad but not for sentimental reasons.  Discord IMO / IME simply can't replace the way I interact with forums.  I have zero interest in getting involved with live "chats" or skimming through them to catch up.  The UI and layout is also confusing and crude to me.  IMO/IME, forums are still the best place to share ideas, create discussions on specific topics, gather feedback, etc.

I understand Discord has introduced some feature to help create a forum-like format but again, I just don't see the advantage beyond the ability as a meeting place / chat room.

I am a member of Discord btw and due use it in a limited fashion.  Currently more as a DM platform to interact with old Ubisoft personalities as Ubi has abandoned their forums.
