  3. We have a Topic for In-game names but haven't seen one for photos of people's character so I thought I'd make one so we can all share our unique custom made toons and either be impressed, or enjoy a few laughs. (let's say a limit of maybe 5 photos) So what do your characters look like?? I'll go ahead and start with my character. Wahkan Makostah: (Translated to): Sacred White Bear

  4. Started online. Whistled my horse... Bang I'm headshoted and dead. Don't think I was on 30 seconds. Thought ere we go. So started again and went and done a stranger mission. I had to kill a wolf and take its body as proof of kill. I eventually found it. It killed me a couple of times. My shooting was off probably because I been playing gow4 all weekend and my brain was still wired to that. A out half way through and person came up and killed the wolf. I was just stood there thinking what now, when they waved and rode off. It was like a cartoon super hero moment. They turned up done the kill and was gone. I didn't even get there gt to say thank you. Took it back got the xp and money. Then off I went to find another. Went to a little shack to hamish next to a pond. There was loads of fish in there so I decided to chill and do some fishing on the end of the di*k thing. After about 5 minutes I heard footsteps but didn't think nothing of it until I saw another fishing line go out in the water. I looked round and there's some random stood finishing next to me. After a few more minutes I get a message. We spent the next 15 minutes fishing and sending messages back and forth about the football (soccer) team we both follow. Once I got my 10 perch I went to see hamish and do the mission. It was rescue a hostage. So off I trotted. Got the hostage. But the random followed me and helped kill the bandits on the way back to return the hostage. I'm really surprised after all the problems I get with griefers that I found 2 nice players in one game. Even made a new friend aswel lol. Just thought it made a change after the usual being killed by random. Sorry for such a long probably boring post but wanted to share.

  5. LMAO! There are no MODDERS on Xbox or PS4. Those people use exploits and/or glitches that exist in the game. The person you encountered was in a glitch where he was phased out to the lobby. You mostly can't interact with others when in this state. It's mainly used to hunt and fish without getting grieved by other players. R* will probably patch it before they fix the unsalable pelts. LOL!

  6. I honestly chose the military one simply because I can go inside it, don't need to sit. I didn't like the original one cuz I didn't wanna see skins and animal pieces. I mean if I could decorate the inside with stuff I actually killed, then I'd go for it, but otherwise nah.

  7. Thanks. I appreciate it. As far as the Bear "taming" honestly it's just a random bug where the bear basically glitches out and no longer recognizes you as a hostile/player. The way I've had success in achieving this bug is basically just dodging the hell out of its attacks and either having it stop attacking after a while (glitched) or dying to it and it no longer attacks me. We also gothave a few good shots on a different day where I was swimming with a bear by Hamish's cabin, and would attack everything that got near me, unfortunately the pictures didnt save for some reason.

  8. Sometimes I dual wield Semi-Automatic Pistols with the winning streak card tier 3, it's like a Gatling gun in your hands.

  9. Now they're pushing that new shotgun with the update..... and Uncle Bropollo LOVES his shotguns (still prefer rifled bore slugs for taking deer here than straight wall rifle rounds), so that's just another reason for me to stick with it.

  11. Idk if it's just personal preference or not. But my foxtrotter seems made of steel. I survive sh*t I normally die on with any other horse. She had swam across rivers and off an island for me. Took 2 shotgun blasts in the face and not died allowing me to live long enough to take out the dude (he was using double sawed off). And in a gun fight not on my horse, she almost always sticks right on me. She's saved my ass more times than I can count. Like last night even whilst getting sniped at. She still came to me to give me my hat lol. Think I'm in love ~

  14. Have you tried saving your game under a different file by chance? I know a lot of people have had issues with missing boats and some find this to be a solution.

  15. I have been trying to figure this out myself. Maybe it is something they have set up for the future like having legendary animals online? I am not sure but I have tried selling different things there and nothing takes.

  16. Sometimes I am able to do the missions and hideouts, other times I am not. I noticed I have more issues when trying to go at things alone without a posse than when I am going as a group. Maybe that is where the bug lies? Who knows. Hopefully, it gets fixed in a few days.

  17. Everyone loves the pump and dump shotgun, I really don't I seem to be one of few being me and my cousin. lol I like the Volcanic Pistol the most out of the ones you listed but like Kean mentioned, it depends on your play style.

  18. And they are adding that new double barrel on the 26th...hmmm. I think I'm going to get that and maybe the new high capacity repeater.

  19. Depends on what you value more and/or your playstyle. Personally, I spent my money on long arms but I did buy dual Schofields and modded them. I went with those simply because I like them but they are also good sidearms. ....and I stuck with them because frankly, I rarely use handguns in this game. I bought the Lancaster as soon as it was available and still use it at level 55+. The other weapon worth purchasing and upgrading IMO is the pump action shotgun. I eventually switched to the repeater shotgun and but I could have easily stuck with the pump. A shotgun and good lever action rifle is what I still rely on the most. I will say that I did buy the Rolling Block rifle and eventually the Springfield which replaced it for big game / long range duty. I have several other weapons which rarely get used.

  20. Omg...same with me. What I really don't understand, how this called as a "tent" When there is no roof at all The only functional tent, is the standard theme. Feature with "SIT" animation, where our character can sit. 😅 That's why I keep wonder how the tent look like for another 2 theme.
    1 point
  21. Yeah I’ve been eyeing those too.

  22. The military theme has a ugly ass medical table in the middle of the camp.. Also the big tent has no where to sit in it. I've bought a few of them.. And the funny thing is I still used standard. Just because you can sit inside the tent on the bed.

  23. How does the government adequately staff 1,954 miles of a border? It'd be one thing if folks were only crossing into the country at ports of entry, but they're walking through desert, wilderness, crossing rivers and natural barriers to come into the country. It's not a question of national security either, but one of health and human services as well. The United States is already under assault from uneducated folks in the "anti-vax" movement--and many of the folks coming in without being processed are not vaccinated, thus compromising herd immunity. The idea of a physical wall is gross and ugly, but I don't have a solution to offer in it's place. It's one thing to tear into the idea of a wall if there's a viable, pragmatic alternative available, but I don't see one. Accurate. Wages have not kept pace with inflation. There is another option: fewer people. Now, I'm not advocating for government mandated population control nor do I think anything needs to be done to "cull the herd", but there needs to be incentives for people to not breed recklessly. It's not 1880 anymore--families don't need large broods to help work the farm. But if the government (at least here) were to offer say, a lifetime tax break for voluntary sterilization (or tax breaks for folks who are incapable of producing offsping), or even provide government funded vasectomies (much less invasive than what is done to sterilize women), or something I haven't thought of, there'd most likely be a decline in the birth rate, which would make immigration necessary to continue driving the economy, even in the face of the loss of future jobs due to technological advances. As it is now, folks are incentivized to have MORE kids--tax deductions and handouts for nonworking folks INCREASE with more children/dependents. I understand the concept for providing financial assistance to folks in need so the children are better cared for, and I'm not advocating that those things should be taken away, but what I AM advocating for (as the parent of two kids) is that folks without children/dependents who make that decision should be encouraged to continue to do so. How is a "smart" wall any different from a physical wall if the goal is to stop illegal immigration? Not saying it's a bad idea, but I fail to see how a physical barrier is inferior to a camera system that will still require deploying assets to stop folks from illegally crossing into the country. Border agents can only be in so many places at once, so advocating for a "smart wall" is symbolic--it does little to actually curb illegal immigration. And how would a "smart wall" deter folks from tunneling, other than making it unnecessary since there'd be no barrier in the first place? I'm not advocating for a wall to begin with. What I DO want is for immigration laws that are in place to be enforced. If a person is here illegally, (insert preferred pronoun here) should be deported, and go through the same process as everyone else who does it the right way. No shortcuts. The process we have is in place to ensure safety and security--folks need to be vaccinated, vetted, and not be evading prosecution in their country of origin. There are countries with which the United States has treaties and agreements with, including agreements for extradition. Conversely, we accept folks being politically or religiously prosecuted/persecuted from other areas based on demonstrable need. Immigration reform is needed regardless of where folks stand on the concept of a wall, I think that's something we can all agree on. Could not agree more. It rankles me when folks feel compelled to turn everything into a social issue. I don't care if your skin is purple and you have six fingers. Can you do your job? Are you chill? Do you like Guinness"? If the answer to any one of these things is "yes" in the right context, then we're cool. Placebo. A wall won't do anything except slow illegal immigration. Comprehensive immigration reform is my second most important political topic in the next election cycle, after balancing the federal budget and paying down the debt. Government spending is out of control. Debatable. 5-7 billion is a drop in the bucket against the larger federal budget. Case in point, the previous administration gave a country that is a state-sponsor of terrorism 1.7 billion without batting an eye. This year, the United States is earmarking $27 billion on foreign aid: Every year, there's reports compiled by experts regarding the BILLIONS of dollars in pork barrel spending and government waste that gets earmarked to spending bills to get them passed. A Senator in Cumberland, Iowa needs $6 million to keep a regional airport open so the cows can get special feed flown in, or some rep in west Texas needs $5 million to offset tax incentives for billionaire oil tycoons. It's gross and it needs to stop. My dream is for Congress to pass an Amendment which requires the federal budget to be balanced EVERY YEAR. Get our financial house in order, THEN start tackling the other issues that need to be addressed.

  24. The fences are primarily for selling jewelry and watches you have looted, as well as crafting talismans and trinkets from Legendary animal parts, which is what you may be referring to. The Emerald Ranch fence in particular has an additional function of being able to sell stolen wagons to, once you complete the Spines of America story mission in Chapter 2. As far as legendary animal pelts, you want to sell those to the trapper.

  25. Just for fun, try and go into story mode, directly from Online. You litteraly get animals thrown at you.. they are everywhere... So they definatly know the problem, so maybe they are adjusting, and maybe preparing some cool stuff for the update coming next week. Seems like they want to include crafting from animals in the near future, so my guess is, that they know, and working on it

  26. This is what i used for the orchids in the exotics side quests. http://www.powerpyx.com/red-dead-redemption-2-all-exotics-locations/ I know i had found some of those orchids before while roaming the country side, I only had to collect 3 or 7 or whatever instead of the required 5 or 10.

  27. Exactly, and sometimes it backfires... I've had a guy wave at me, and when I wave back, he pulls out a sawed-off or something and shoots me. Of course, that goes back to 99% of most of the Griefers are cowards and chickens. Degree few and leave the session. Hopefully after the update next week we won't have quite as much!

  29. They obviously are interested in trying to rectify the situation. Not all issues can be easily replicated and require as much detail as they can get their hands on which is why the Support reps are asking so they can pass it along.
