I've heard that yes, you do lose those things. Why do you want to recreate your character? If it is to change their look, you may want to hold off as R* has already announced that they will be allowing players to change their characters (now permanent) features in the future.

Bro, seriously!! I was up in the Mountains of Amberino and some Mexican dude is usually up there with a band of outlaws who ambush you when you accept to help him, buuuuut today I had my LaMats ready and I figured he was gonna do the same ole BS, but nope, he actually needed a ride, like legitimately, and yet the whole way to his destination I was like, he's gonna throw me off or something.... Nope, he genuinely needed that ride. Damn... People CAN change 😂

Figured this doesn't need a separate topic so just discussing here: Dynamic Events can do the ol' switcheroo on you - gotta be careful out there. The sweet lady who got bucked from her horse south of Valentine flagged me down the other night. Damn horse gone and bucked her off and she asked for a ride to Valentine... I had done this countless times so I was like "sure, hop on, I'm heading there anyway" - mashing Square to Accept Escort. Suddenly she pulls her sixgun on me and rips me off my horse! I recover and dust her with my right, knocking her out, then suddenly it seemed like a dozen bandits packing serious firepower appear from all sides and smoke me LOL Gonna be extra cautious next time I see that broad!

I've said it before and I'll say it again; If R* wants to gate content or bonuses behind something, then it should be based on the version of the game that a player bought, not the system being played on. I paid $100 for the Ultimate version. Why should I miss out on content or bonuses that someone who bought the basic $60 version gets simply because of the system being used? I've always thought that type of exclusivity is just unfair, even when I've benifited from it. If R* wants to set up exclusivity, they need to base it on the investment that their customers have made into the game.
