  1. It's not griefing at all. I love the way it is now. My heart gets going when either delivering or trying to steal a distant wagon. Someone said on this thread that others won't help due to the fact it wasn't worth their time. What? Anyone who helps you gets $312 for assisting In a distant large delivery. I haven't found a player yet that would turn down $312 for a 10-15 minute ride. I routinely bounce from posse to posse helping escort wagons. At 300 a pop it adds up quick. Then the same people will also come assist my own distant. Works great.

  2. I dont know why it happened or what I coudl have done to make it happen, all I did was fast travel to Manzanita post to get something, I noticed I was on the server with one other guy, I checked his gamercard and saw he was in the Grizzlies somewhere, I didnt think much of it. Ive seen it happen before but usually it lasts about 5 minutes then the server re populates, not today. Because it never changed I couldnt shut it off, lol I was on alone for over 8 hours. I killed 6 Grizzlies, 14 wolves, 8 cougars, and countless other things, I actually found the limit for my horse with pelts, its 60. At 60 it said you cant store any more on your horse, lol So., I dunno, just thought I would share what happened, I felt very lucky as there were animals everywhere in great numbers, the swamps were like a rain forest untouched, it was crazy!! I can only hope it happens again one day, I made a little over $4000.00 and Cripps is still completely stocked when I logged off , I made most of the money by collecting 16 items I needed to cap off 8 or 9 collections, plus all the hunting along the way. I need food.

  4. Just a reminder.... Let's remember to keep thing civil folks. @lumper, I've been playing RDO since the launch of the beta. While I'll agree griefing was more of a problem back in those days since we didn't have the tools we do now to help mitigate the problem, it was far from the same nasty experience for everyone. In my case I did have some problems with trolls but nowhere near on the level you did apparently. That's not to say you didn't have a lot of problems but not everyone did. .....and a lot of that was due in no small part to how I and my friends reacted to threats/randoms, how and where we logged in, using the RDO app, how we approached or decided which towns were safe, etc. .....this was way before the proximity blips or any of that was even introduced. We all had many discussions on the topic of "griefers" and we all went over a lot of the tips, etc. to try and help those struggling. .....that's just my two cents though.

  5. I have a Black Arabian, MFT, and all 3 level 20 role horses. I still only ride the Arabian. The size and handling are what makes it great. Full gallop 90° turn and no need to hit the "brakes". And small enough to see around easily and avoid obstacles. She's like a little black cruise missile death machine. Don't know why everyone complains that their skittish. I used her on all 5 wolfman levels. I just didn't have any problems. A close second to me now is the Criollo. Great horse. I've heard all the negativity surrounding the Black Arabian, and if you're thinking about getting one, do it!

  6. Unlike some of the purchases in the other roles, the shovel and metal detector are must haves and they pay for themselves in no time. You need both for coins and certain other valuables and the shovel alone for all the dig spots dotted around the map.

  7. If you mean the bolt action variant, my bolt action let me keep my metals, but only when I glitched it. So I had already bought the gold, then later copper, then the variant, but the variant did remove my gold and stuff, BUT once I glitched it I got my metal combo plus the variant under the white wash.

  8. I guess the question is, what do you expect to get out of the PC version that you couldn't get out of the console version that is worth it to you to buy it again on PC? There are obvious graphic advantages and the ability to mod if they allow it. Hacking will be a problem as it is for many online games on PC but for PC players, this shouldn't be a shock. You're not even making a case for the purchase of RDR2 on PC so I'm having a hard time understanding why it's even a dilemma for you to be honest.

  9. I have not found any direct comparison screen shots either. The closest I found was this YT video posted yesterday.

  10. Nice, and at level 49 your not close to done, maybe half way to 100 yeah, but 100 isnt the end, only the end of the un-lockables. Welcome and glad to see new people enjoying the pve. I got the game around XMas last year too but didnt try the online until March 14th, so nearly three months later, and I only tried it after I was done with my 3rd full 100% play through, well I am at 97.5% really if Im being honest, but I did and saw everything you can do in game and lots more before I decided ok, Ill begrudgingly try the online but I dont expect it to be any good. Boy was I wrong! then it was still in Beta, I played the Beta and leveled up til I hit 100, I think we were still in Beta when I hit it, cant remember. Beta was the worst! griefers every day no matter what you did or where you did it, it was nearly unplayable for a while there for me. But now Im level 243 and I feel like that early stuff was the grind, trying to get the horses and ammo type, etc.. but once you get to 100 it becomes about daily challenges, hoarding gold for the next big update, completing other game awards etc.. Lots to do and more coming, I love this game, it is unlike any game I have ever played as far as online goes, some days I will play for many hours and never shoot another real person's character, as you woudl in COD or other shooters. I just started a second profile and I am at level 11 and it is a completely different experience to play the game today than it was from March til early June when the first big update came out and introduced passive mode, back then just surviving a few minutes was a real goal, now I almost never find any problems with other players, I mean yeah it happens, but maybe once a week now as opposed to every 15 minutes before.

  11. With so much the game has to offer I don't feel the end is near. The game just came out of beta a few months ago. I spend a lot of time running around doing dailies, hunting, treasure hunting, bounty hunting, getting slaughtered in pvp, and helping others level their roles and characters. I always have someone I am playing with usually my wife, that also loves RDR2, so there is also that. I used to be in a posse that was great to run around with on a daily basis. We did everything the game had to offer and I learned a lot of things from them. I now use that information to help others I run across. I don't feel or consider this a grind. It is more of cheap daily entertainment. Since i'm not much into watching tv for entertainment, this fills the time most people watch movies and tv programs. Then there is the immersive scenery to roam and enjoy. The other day I found a tree house. Really, who would have thought. A few days ago I found a baby horse and rode around for a while on it. I wan't one of those.

  12. Well, there is typically no intended "end game" in these types of titles. It's all about content to help keep them thriving. A lot of people hate MTXs but without them, the games would not exist past a certain point. .......but that's never a sure thing either because without good, continual content to maintain an attractive product, players won't stick around. In R* games like GTAO and especially RDO, they are supposed to be environments where players interact and continue to develop / grow their characters. GTAO has been running for 6 years now is one of the most (if not the most) successful GaaS model in the industry. There are no signs of it ending anytime soon so obviously, people still feel attracted to the game and what it continues to offer. In a recent interview with R*, they discussed the future of RDO and it's content. We can look forward to expansion of the existing roles including new ones. As for what to spend your money on, they are looking at introducing things like properties, businesses, etc. Heists are good possibilities as well. I can see a lot of these things intermingling but also as brand new seperate opportunities. There is no "end game" in RDO. People play because they enjoy the gameplay experience. As long as folks have a reason to stick with or keep coming back to RDO, they will. R* is clever in that respect as they typically offer new incentives to people in the form of weekly bonuses, daily challenges, etc. .....and with the new roles, we are now seeing weekly bounties, collectables, etc. ....a page from the GTAO playbook. ....and remember, new content is always added so the gameworld simply keeps expanding. RDO will be very different in a year than it is right now. It will feel much more robust as it does now by comparison to when it released.

  13. I have a red chestnut Arabian that is kickass. I love the speed. Endurance really isn't all that necessary. I like to be able to ride fast. And if you feed it a good horse meal and some hay along the way it will ride all day long.

  14. Hi Buddy, sorry about the delay in replying. Rockstar awarded me the insultingly inadequate compensation of 5 gold bars for deleting my Streak of 95. Having started again from scratch I got back to 14 only to find this too was deleted! I have had a lot of communication with Rockstar about this and my ticket is still open but I don't think I'll get my Streaks back. And now too many Daily challenge achievements are not getting counted in; too many Bounty Missions go unrewarded, and too many collectibles found do not appear as found! Until it is sorted I am going to do only the simplest Daily Challenges, like a haircut, and concentrate on other ways of gaining XP and gold. Thanks for the reply.Kratos635wild.

  15. I found a guy sitting at my camp yesterday, he was shirtless and looking pretty ragged, he told me how he was hungry and asked me if I had any meat for him to eat, I had an option to give him some food or not, so I fed him, and then he ran off. I love how these various events keep popping up with variations to make the world feel so dynamic.

  16. I've also had the old shirtless skinny guy show up when I was camped near Emerald. He asked (weirdly) for 'scorched meat', but I accidentally waved a rifle in his face and he got up and ran off shouting "Why?!?...Why!!?...".

  18. Hammers. Nothing quite as statisfying as smacking an opponent in the face with the business end of a good old fashioned framing hammer. Not that I know what that sounds like...

  19. Well in that case, bring on the phased plasma rifle in 40 watt range. Why let any sense of reality stop us, right?

  20. I like the sword idea and also the bayonet. Or other melee weapons like a broken beer bottle or a horseshoe. It would be cool to be able to use items that were laying around. Say you're in St. Denis in the middle of a fire fight and you run out of ammo or something. You could run into the saloon and break off a table leg and go to work in close quarters lol. Interactable items would be awesome!
